Description

DEVICE FOR CLOSING AND EVACUATING THE LIQUIDS UNDER PRESSURE FROM VESSELS
The invention refers to a device especially intended to hermetically close and evacuate under control some supplying liquids under pressure , for instance carbo- gaseous refreshing drinks bottled in vessels made of plastic or glass, with the normal capacity of 0.25-2,5 litres.
It is known , from the certificate application Fr 2537092, that there is a device for closing and evacuating a liquid under pressure in a device witch contains means of fixing on the groove of a device of a frame equiped both with a lateral connecting piece for evacuating the liquid as well as a central orifice , bounded by a joiner's bench-valve.
On the axis of the frame it has been set a rod-valve forming one piece with a plate witch sustains a rubber bearing disc wich closes the central orifice. The rod-valve has a cut part wich is screwed up in an acting button coaxially set on a superior cylindrical part of the frame and wich leans on a compression spring.
This device has the disadvantage of possessing an unwieldy constitution, with a difficult montage and adjustment and low fiability,Moreover, this device does not assure the inviolability of the content of the vessel until the first utilization, in case the vessel wich contains a carbo-gaseous drink is sold together with the device of closing and evacuating the liquid.
It is also known a device of closing and evacuating liquids, certicateRO 118710 B wich consists of a frame equiped with a lateral connecting piece , where it is introduced a cassette containg a plate valve , the frame being set through screwing it up on the groove of a vessel. The valve obturates a central orifice bounded by a joiner's bench-valve, its opening being ørdened by an acting button , kept upright by a compression ark, whose central rod, through preshing , opens the above-mentioned valve, allowing the evacuation of the liquid under pressure out of the vessel. This device has the disadvantage of a pretentious contraction and assemblage of the component parts.
This invention solves the problem of reducing the number of the elements in motion wich carry out the tight closing and evacuation of the liquid , simplifying the construction of the frame and of the valve as well as their assembling.
The device for closing and evacuating liquids out of vessels, according to the invention , eliminates the above-mentioned disadvantages in the sense that it is equiped with a valve having the form of a spherical calotte, made of an elastic material, equiped with several orifices and a fixing and centring collar in the interior of the cassette with a central tube, the above-mentioned valve being pressed axially and elastically distorted by the end of the rod of the acting button for evacuating the liquid out of vessel , wich , at rest gets back to the initial form of a spherical calotte . setting on the joiner's bench-valve of the frame , under the pressure from the vessel.
The acting button , already mentioned is equiped with a lateral window wich covers connecting piece of the frame, while axially pushing the acting button and , in the inferior part , the latter is equiped with a collar, directed towards the interior part of the acting button wich limits its axial movement, and where the button gets back to the initial position it is retained by a counter-button attached to the superior part of the device's frame.
The rod of the acting button is equiped with a rib, wich assures the guiding and the tightness on the cyllirmdric surface of an orifice that exists on the superior part of the device 's frame.
The following advantages arise from this invention:
- the simplification of the construction,
- the increase of fiability,
- the reduction of the size,
- the reduction of price cost,
- the simple adjustment to galss vessels or to those made of plastic wich are being sold.at present as well as the adjustment to dose-like aluminium vessels or to spray -like vessels.
Here is an example of carrying out the invention in connection with diagrams( figures) 1-7, wich represent:
-diagram l:-the axial section through the closing and evacuating device of the liquids under pressure, set on the groove of a vessel, -diagram 2: —the axial section through frame 1 of the device illustrated in diagram
1,
-diagram 3 :axial section through cassette 3 and valve 4 form diagram 1,
- diagram 4: axial section through the acting button 6 from diagram 1,
- diagram 5; a view from the direction the A index of the acting button 6 from diagram 4,
- diagram 6 ; a view in plane of the plug-seal 7 from diagram 6. According to the inventiuon the device is made of a frame 1, illustrated in diagram 2 as well, having a cylindrical part eventually equiped in the exterior with striation for being hand-drawn while screwing it up on the groove of a vessel 2 and an interior thread b, through wich frame 1, together with the other component elements are screwed up on the groove cut in the exterior part of vessel 2, of a known cons-traction, usually achieved of transparent plastic or glass material.
As diagram 1 shows , before closing the vessel 2, a cassette 3 is introduced, having the configuration of diagram 3, and being equiped in the superior part with a support collar c , and in the inferior part it is prolongued with a tube d , cassette 3 being axially pushed when frame 1 is screwed Op and tightened on the groove of vessel 2, assuring the necessary tightness.ϊn the interior part of cassette 3 there is a valve 4, wich , as diagram 3 shows , has the form of a calotte made of an elastic ma-teriaϊ for instance rubber and it is equiped with seceral orifices e and a positioning collar f.
As one can notice in diagram 1, frame 1 is equiped on its axis with an orifice g bounded by a joiner's bench-valve h . on wich it is placed in a certain period of functioning the superior part of valve 4.
In frame 1 , on the superior part there is a central orifice i , co-axial with the orifice g, where a vertical rod can penetrate and vertically slide , a rod equiped with a rib j. for guiding arid tightning an acting button 6, also illustrated in diagram' 4 and 5. The acting button 6 has a collar k wich by being axially pushed downwonds passes through a slight distortion over a counter -collar 1, placed on the superior part of frame 1, sheltering itself under it by force. Sidewise too, the acting button 6 has a window m , visible in diagram 5, wich, while pushing the acting button 6, passes over a connecting piece n of frame 1.
Sidewise , frame 1 continues with the connecting piece n, mentioned above, penetrated by a radial orifice o , of filling-evacuating of the vessel 2 and wich is equiped with a collar p, through wich a plug-seal is forcedly introduced and fixed .
The radial orifice n communicates with the orifice g and through the oppening of valve 4, it implicitly communicates with the inner part of vessel 2, with liquid.
As one can notice in figures(diagram) 6 and 7 , the plug-seal 7 is connected through a flexible flange 8 with a ring 9 , introduced through a groove g of frame 1 under the counter-collar 1 and under the acting button 6.Ring 9 prevents the undesired motion of button 6, on an involuntary axial pushing of the latter and it is equiped with a notch-fuse r, wich allows the breaking with a slight effort of ring 9 and its removal together with the plug-seal 7, before the first evacuation of the liquid out of vesse!2.
The device described above is used as follows with the producer , during the bottling process the liquid is introduced into vesseL 2 , approximately 90% of its capacity, after wich in the groove of the vessel it is placed the cassette 3 with valve 4 over wich frame 1 , of the device is screwed up and tightened , as it is shown in figure 1 , but with the plug-seal 7 unset at the end of the connecting piece a
During this phase the producer achieves the sealing of the content and the joining together of frame I, of the device together with the groove of the vessel 2, using an adhesive in zone s or by glueing them together using a heating source.
Through the radial orifice of the connecting piece n a prestablished dose of carbo dioxid is introduced into vessel 2, under the pressure of 2....3 barii, wich, passing through the orifice g, presses upon valve 4 destortmg it and removing it from the bench-valve h , the gase penetrating through the orifices e into tube d and finally into the liquid of vessel 2.
Simultaneous with the penetration of the carbo-doixid into the vessel 1, the blending and homogenizing of the mixture takes place , using for instance the outfit from the certificate RO 11 8689 .
After approximately ϊ minute the introduction of the carbo-dioxid stops and the pressure created inside the vessel 2, raises valve 4, on the joiner's bench-valve 9 achieving in this way the tightening of vessel 2 and its content. After that the plug-seal 2 is introduced by force through the extremity of the connecting piece n assuring the sealing of vessel 2 and of its content
For the controlled evacuation of a part of the liquid quantity on first using it , first , the plug-seal 7 is taken out of the connecting piece n and pulling the flexible «lip 8 the ring 9 5 wich has its section weakened by the notch-fuse r breaks. Then the acting button 6 is axially pushed and the inferior extremity of rod 5 removes valve 4 from the joiner's bench-valve h defeating the interior pressure allowing thus the liquid of vessel 2 to be evacuated in the exterior through tube d , the oirfices e and g ,and through the radial orifice o , of the connecting piece n.
When the pressure exerted upon valve 4, by the acting button 6 stops, the pressure from the inside raises it on the joiner's bench-valve g, achieving the tighteness, bringing the acting button to the initial position. s Another way of using the device consists in the fact that with the device with carbo-gaseous drinks wich are sold at present the purchaser should replace the ordinary plug applied by screwring it up with the device of this invention , set as we have shown above , taking into arcount, in this way, the originary qualities of the liquid , till its total evacution out of the vessel.
