[1] The present invention relates to a brush for make-up used when a user puts powder, which is base cosmetics, on her or his face, and more particularly, to a brush for makeup in which a pumping means of a simple structure is embedded, thereby enabling the user to more easily apply make-up.
[2] Korea has clear four seasons, and so, humidity and temperature are severely changed according to seasons. Since the human skin exposed to such surrounding environments is easy to become dry due to the clear four seasons, the user puts foundation on her or his face evenly with a powder puff in order to prevent homines s of the skin, to protect the skin, and to apply make-up, namely, color cosmetics, on her or his face well.
[3] Moreover, besides powder for cosmetics, powder for infants keeps a tender skin and provides refreshingness through powder's agreeable smell by absorbing moisture and preventing skin friction when the user powders an infant's skin after a bath. Background Art
[4] In general, a user dabs at a skin with a power puff or puts powder on her or his body after scattering powder on the palm of her or his hand through a number of pores of a container cover when the user puts powder for cosmetics or infants. So, there are several disadvantages in that the circumference becomes dirty due to scattered powder, and in that the use cannot put powder on the skin evenly.
[5] To overcome the above disadvantages, a brush containing powder for cosmetics or infants therein has been invented and used.
[6] Korean Utility Model Laid-Open Publication Nos. 1992-8172 and 1992-2 disclose such a brush containing powder for cosmetics or infants therein. In Korean Utility Model Publication Nos. 1992-8172 and 1992-2, the brush has a structure that a pushing means 10 is formed at an outer end of the brush so that powder contained in a powder case is discharged toward a wool brush part 12 when the user presses the pushing means 10.
[7] However, as shown in FIG. 6, the prior art brush for make-up has several disadvantages in that it has to have an expensive elastic spring 14 in order to form the pushing means 10, and in that the user has to press the pushing means 10 for use.
[8] In addition, the prior art brush for make-up has another disadvantage in that powder of an excessive amount is discharged to the wool brush part 12 when the user forcedly and repeatedly presses the pushing means 10 in order to discharge powder to the brush for a base make-up. Furthermore, the prior art brush for make-up has a further disadvantage in that a length of the brush part 12 is not changeable during make-up. Disclosure of Invention

[31] Reference will be now made in detail to the preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the attached drawings.
[32] As shown in FIG. 1 or 2, a brush for make-up includes a brush connection member
100, an elastic pumping tube 120, a guide member 130, a movable member 140, a powder housing 110, and a cover member 150, and the above-mentioned components are assembled and combined.
[33] The brush connection member 100 includes a brush part 102 connected at an end thereof and a fitting groove 104 formed on the other end thereof. The brush connection member 100 further includes a discharge hole 106 formed on the end where the fitting groove 104 is formed. Here, powder is discharged toward the brush part and the air flows in and out through the discharge hole 106.
[34] The powder housing 110 has an opening formed at an end portion thereof, so that the powder contained inside the powder housing 110 is supplied to the brush part through the elastic pumping tube 120. Moreover, the powder housing 110 is formed at an end portion thereof with a first stepped portion 112 which has the opening and to which the elastic pumping tube 120 is fit and a second stepped portion 114 to which the guide member 130 is fit.
[35] On the other end portion, the powder housing 110 further includes a screw portion
116 formed on the outer periphery thereof, and a housing cap 118 screw-coupled with the screw portion 116.
[36] In addition, it is preferable that the powder housing 110 is made of a transparent material so that a user can visually confirm an amount of the powder contained in the powder housing 110. Therefore, when the powder contained in the powder housing 110 is exhausted, the user can directly check it and reuse the brush by refilling powder.
[37] As shown in FIG. 2, the elastic pumping tube 120 has an end fit to the fitting groove
104 of the brush connection member 100 and the other end fit to the first stepped portion 112 of the powder housing 110.
[38] A through-hole 122 penetratingly formed at the center of the elastic pumping tube
120 communicates the discharge hole 106 of the brush connection member 100 with the opening of the powder housing 110, so that a movement path of powder is formed between the through-hole 122 and the opening and the powder is supplied to the brush part 102 by an expansion and contraction action of the elastic pumping tube 120.
[39] Here, it is preferable that the elastic pumping tube 120 is made of a soft non- poisonous silicon material or a soft synthetic resin material, which is easily expanded and contracted with a light touch or small power. Also, it is preferable that the elastic pumping tube 120 has a bellows part 124, which gets narrower toward the center thereof.
[40] The guide member 130 has a hollow space formed therein, and includes at least one guide slot 132 longitudinally formed on the outer periphery thereof, and at least one locking groove 134 formed on the guide slot 132 thereof. Here, the guide slot 132 is opened at a side thereof and closed at the other side thereof. In addition, as shown in FIG. 2, in a state where the brush connection member 100 and the elastic pumping tube 120 are inserted into the hollow space of the guide member 130, the guide member 130 is coupled to the second stepped portion 114 of the powder housing 110.
[41] The movable member 140 has a hollow space formed therein, and includes a cover coupling portion 144 formed on the outer periphery of a side thereof for coupling the cover member 150 and the movable member 140 with each other, and a guide protrusion 142 protruding inwardly from the inner periphery of an end of the other side thereof. Here, as shown in FIG. 2, the guide member 130 is inserted into the hollow space of the movable member 140, and the guide protrusion 142 is slidably inserted into the guide slot 132 opened at the outer periphery of the guide member 130.
[42] The cover member 150 is coupled with the movable member 140 to protect the brush part 102.
[43] The operation of the brush for make-up having the above configuration will be described as follows.
[44] As shown in FIG. 3 or 4, the user dabs at the user's skin (S) with the brush, in which cosmetics for base make-up such as powder is contained.
[45] As shown in FIG. 3, when the user dabs at the user's skin (S) with the brush part
102, the brush connection member 100 presses the elastic pumping tube 120 by power touching the skin (S). The elastic pumping tube 120 pressed by the brush connection member 100 is contracted in a bellows type.
[46] The elastic pumping tube 120 discharges powder, which is contained together with the air inside the elastic pumping tube 120, through the discharge hole 106 while the inside pressure of the elastic pumping tube rises by the contraction of the elastic pumping tube 120.
[47] Here, preferably, the brush connection member 100, the elastic pumping tube 120 and the powder housing 110 are sealably coupled with one another, whereby pressure can be generated evenly according to the expansion and contraction of the elastic pumping tube 120.
[48] As described above, the powder discharged to the brush part 102 works when the user dabs at the user's skin with the brush part, and then, when the dab at the user's skin (S) and the brush part 102 is separated from the skin (S) as shown in FIG. 4, the elastic pumping member 120 contracted by the separation of the brush connection member 100 is slackened by elasticity. Here, while the brush connection member 100 and the elastic pumping tube 120 are returned to the original state, since the inside of the elastic pumping tube 120 is at pressure lower than the surroundings, the powder contained inside the powder housing 110 is induced into the elastic pumping tube 120 together with the air and the outside air is introduced into the elastic pumping tube 120 through the discharge hole 106.
[49] Here, the powder is discharged while the elastic pumping tube 120 repeats the contraction and expansion action.
[50] Meanwhile, when the powder contained in the powder housing 110 made of the transparent material is exhausted, the user directly checks it with the user's eyes and then refills powder after releasing the housing cap 118 screw-coupled with the powder housing 110, so that the brush for make-up can be used for a long time.
[51] In addition, as shown in FIGS. 5a to 5d, the guide protrusion 142 of the movable member 140 is slidably coupled along the guide slot 132 of the guide member 130, whereby an exposed length of the brush part 102 of the brush connection member 100 inserted and fit to the guide member 130 can be adjusted. Here, as shown in FIG. 1, the guide slot 132 has the locking groove 134 of three stages.
[52] Therefore, when the guide protrusion 142 is held and fixed to the locking groove
134 of FIG. 5a, the entire brush part 102 is exposed to the outside and the brush part 102 is spread out widely, so that the user can powder the user's skin with a soft touch. When the guide protrusion 142 is held and fixed to the locking groove 134 of FIG. 5b, a half of the brush part 102 is exposed to the outside and the brush part 102 is massed inwardly, so that the user can powder a narrower area of the user's skin with a strong touch.
[53] When the use of the brush for make-up is finished, as shown in FIG. 5c, the guide protrusion 142 is held and fixed to the locking groove 134 of the end of the movable member 140, the brush part 102 is completely inserted into the hollow space of the movable member 140, and then, the cover member 150 is coupled with the movable member 140.
