Abstract

Selon une approche basée sur la distribution permettant la location de sélections de multimédia de divertissement spécifique à des clients, les clients appellent, se présentent en personne ou se connecte par voie électronique afin de passer commande de sélections multimédia de divertissement spécifique qui seront soit prises soit remises au niveau d'un point géographique spécifié à l'intérieur d'un créneau de temps spécifié. Avec leur commande, les clients spécifient quelles sélections multimédia de divertissement spécifique ils souhaitent louer par une présentation contenant une sélection gérable de choix multimédia de divertissement à partir d'un ordinateur, ou la communication manuelle par téléphone ou sur le lieu où se trouve l'établissement, ou bien par un système IVR ou par fax. Selon l'approche, pendant le processus de commande les clients décident quels articles spécifiques louer sur la base d'une sélection gérable de choix de multimédia de divertissement à fournir dans un processus de distribution existant. Le fournisseur peut être soit centralisé soit décentralisé selon la situation physique des clients. Les clients peuvent alors ramener les articles loués soit en personne, lorsqu'ils les ont pris eux-mêmes, soit par courrier, soit par dépôt ou expédier les articles à l'aide du service postal. La totalité du processus est gérée et traitée manuellement ou par l'intermédiaire du système.
