Abstract

The present invention combines the control and management circuitry for a slice (23, 25) of a display (18) in one silicon monolithic device or IC (22, 24). Each IC (22, 24) accommodates a specific number of pixels and columns. These display slice devices (Ics) (22, 24) are cascadable. The present invention also introduces the concept of a master IC (22) driving identical slave lcs (24) in the pixel slice (23, 25) architecture for flat panel display (18) technology.
