Description

DOOR OPENING ANGLE CONTROLLABLE HINGE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a hinge capable of controlling a door opening angle, and more particularly to a door opening angle controllable hinge which is capable of controlling a door opening angle with respect to all types of doors to be adhered to a door frame, to thereby prevent a door employing the hinge from bumping against a wall on which the door is mounted or the indoor ornaments, so as not to injure the wall or the door when the door is opened, and to thus get rid of a trouble source of a door lock mounted to the door.
Background Art Generally, most of doors excluding a fire door are mounted in all kinds of buildings, utilizing an appropriate number of hinges .
As shown in FIG. 10, a conventional hinge includes a fixing attachment plate 100 adhered and fixed to a door frame, a rotating attachment plate 200 which is attached to a door and rotates together with the door when the door is opened and closed, and a pin shaft 300 which connects the fixing attachment plate 100 and the rotating attachment plate 200.
One or more fixed supporters 110 which surround the pin shaft 300 and fixedly combined with the pin shaft 300 is formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate 100. One or more rotating holders 210 which are combined to be rotatable while surrounding the pin shaft 300 is formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate 200. The fixed supporters 110 and the rotating holders 210 are formed in the structure of alternately surrounding the pin shaft 300.
In the conventional hinge as described above as shown in FIGs . 10 and 11, the rotating attachment plate 200 can be rotated up to the angular range of 270°or greater approximately, at the state where the fixing attachment plate 100 and the rotating attachment plate 200 contact each other. This is because cutting sections 220 formed at the side of the rotating holders 210 of the rotating attachment plate 200 can rotate around the periphery of the fixed supporters 110 until they hang on the fixing attachment plate 100.
But, when the conventional hinge as described above is adhered to a door 400 as illustrated in FIG. 12, an opening angle of the door 400 cannot be adjusted or controlled. Accordingly, when the door 400 is opened as illustrated in FIG. 13, it can easily collide with a wall 500 or ornaments (not shown) installed on the wall 500, to thus cause all kinds problems.
For example, in the case that the door 400 gets to bump with the wall 500 while it is opened indoors, the wall paper papered on the wall 500 may be damaged. In the case of a bathroom, tiles adhered on the wall 500 may be scratched, or may be broken to pieces in a serious case. Indoor ornaments installed on the wall 500 at the side where the door 400 is opened may be damaged by the door 400 which is opened. Further, a door lock 410 which is mounted in the door 400 may repetitively collide with the wall 500 or the indoor ornaments whenever the door 400 is opened. As a result, a susceptibility may be high. Further, when a lock button 420 formed in the indoor of the door lock 410 bumps against the wall 500 or the indoor ornaments, the lock button 420 may automatically operate to be locked. In this case, if the door 400 is closed at the state where the lock button 420 has naturally been into the lock operation, the door 400 is locked and is unable to be opened without having a key.
The various problems in the conventional hinge as described above show up in the construction company which builds apartment houses or office buildings. That is, when windows or doors are not controlled after finishing an interior work, a door which was not completely closed may be instantly opened and collide with the wall by wind passing through an open window. As a result, the wall paper, tiles or indoor ornaments may be damaged.
Therefore, to solve problems described above, a stopper is fixed on a floor so that the door may not collide with the wall. Otherwise, a buffer member is protrudingly installed on the wall. Such installation of the stopper or buffer member may increase the cost of building or mar the indoor appearance.
Disclosure of the Invention
To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a hinge capable of controlling a door opening angle so that a door can be opened within an angular range to prevent the door from colliding with a wall or indoor ornaments, in which a door opening angle control unit is formed in a fixing attachment plate and a rotating attachment plate so as to enable an opening angle of the door to be within a desired angular width.
To accomplish the above object of the present invention, according to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a hinge comprising a fixing attachment plate and a rotating attachment plate both which are combined with each other in a form surrounding a pin shaft; and a door opening angle control unit capable of controlling a door opening angle of a door, wherein the door opening angle control unit comprises: a fixed stopper which is formed in the fixing attachment plate in order to control a rotational angle of the rotating attachment plate; and a rotating control portion which makes the rotating attachment plate stop by the fixed stopper in order to stop rotation of the rotating attachment plate if the rotating attachment plate rotates up to a set angular range during rotational operation.
Preferably, the door opening angle control unit comprises the fixed stopper which is protrudingly formed upwards or downwards in at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of at least one fixing supporter which is protrudingly formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate and surrounding a pin shaft at the state of fixing the pin shaft; and the rotating control portion which is protrudingly formed upwards or downwards in at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of at least one rotating holder which is protrudingly formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate and surrounding a pin shaft at the rotatable state, to thereby allow for a rotational operation within the set angular range during rotational operation of the rotating attachment plate and make the rotating attachment plate be stopped by the fixed stopper when the rotating attachment plate is beyond the set angular range and to thus control rotation of the rotating attachment plate.
More preferably, in the case of the door opening angle control unit, a fixed stopper is protrudingly formed in the upper and lower surfaces of a fixing supporter which is positioned at the center among three fixing supporters formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate, respectively, and a rotating control portion is protrudingly formed in the lower surface of the upper rotating holder and the upper surface of the lower rotating holder of two rotating holders which are formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate. More preferably, in the case of the door opening angle control unit, a fixed stopper is protrudingly formed in the lower surface of the upper fixing supporter and the upper surface of the lower fixing supporter of two fixing supporters which are formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate, respectively, and a rotating control portion is protrudingly formed in the upper and lower surfaces of the rotating holder which is formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate, respectively.
More preferably, in the case of the door opening angle control unit, a fixed stopper is protrudingly formed in a cutting section which is formed between two or more fixing supporters which are formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate, and a rotating control portion is protrudingly outwardly formed in at least one rotating holder which is formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate.

Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention
Hereinbelow, a door opening angle controllable hinge according to preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In FIGs.1 through 9, reference symbols Ia and Ib show a hinge, respectively. The hinges Ia and Ib includes a fixing attachment plate 2 attached to a door frame 6, a rotating attachment plate 3 attached to a door 7, and a pin shaft 4 for combining the fixing attachment plate 2 and the rotating attachment plate 3 with each other. In the case of the hinge Ia, three fixed supporters 21 combined with the pin shaft 4 at the state of surrounding the pin shaft 4 are formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate 2, and two rotating holders 31 combined with the pin shaft 4 at the state of surrounding the pin shaft 4 are formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate 3.
Moreover, in the case of the hinge Ib, two fixed supporters 21 are formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate 2, and one rotating holder 31 is formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate 3.
Each fixed supporter 21 formed in the fixing attachment plate
2 of hinges Ia and Ib surrounds the pin shaft 4 at the state of fixing the pin shaft 4. Meanwhile, the rotating holders 31 formed in the rotating attachment plate 3 surrounds the pin shaft 4 at the state where the rotating holders 31 are rotatable between the fixed supporters 21. Therefore, the rotating attachment plate 3 adhered to the door 8 can rotate around the pin shaft 4 fixed to each fixed supporter 21 of the fixing attachment plate 2 attached to the door frame 7. Accordingly, the door 8 can be freely opened and closed.
The present invention employs the door opening angle control unit formed in the hinge Ia or Ib, and thus prevents the phenomenon that the door 8 bumps against the wall 9 or the indoor ornaments when the door 8 is opened, or the opened door 8 is excessively opened by the wind to thereby cause the door 8 to bump against the wall 9 or the indoor ornaments. That is, the door opening angle control unit employed in the present invention enables the door to be always opened within a set angular range. In the case of the door opening angle control unit, a fixed stopper 5 is protrudingly formed in one surface or both surfaces of the upper and lower surfaces of a fixing supporter which is selected among respective fixing supporters 21 formed in the fixing attachment plate 2, and a rotating control portion 6 is protrudingly formed in one surface or both surfaces of the upper and lower surfaces of rotating holders 31 which are formed in the rotating attachment plate 3.
The fixed stopper 5 of the door opening angle control unit is formed in opposition to the rotating attachment plate 3. It is preferable that the end 51 of the fixed stopper 5 is formed near the cut section 22 formed between the fixed supporters 21.
The rotating control portion 6 of the door opening angle control unit is formed in opposition to the fixed stopper 5 formed in the fixed supporter 21 of the fixing attachment plate 2. The end 61 of the rotating control portion 6 can be selectively adjusted or controlled from the position far from the cut section 32 formed in the rotating attachment plate 3 to the position close thereto. For example, when the door 8 is designed to be opened at 90° angle, the end 61 of the rotating control portion 6 is formed in the location far from the cut section 32 as shown in FIG. 4. Accordingly, if a gap between the end 51 of the fixed stopper 5 and the end 61 of and rotating control portion 6 is formed so that the angle θ measured from the center of the pin shaft 4 is in the angular range of 90° angle, the door 8 can be opened up to the angle of 90° as shown in FIG. 5. Otherwise, although not illustrated, assuming that a gap between the end 51 of the fixed stopper 5 and the end 61 of and rotating control portion 6 is formed so that the angle θ measured from the center of the pin shaft 4 is in the angular range of 180° angle, the door 8 can be opened up to the angle of 180° at maximum.
In the meantime, the reason why the end 51 of the fixed stopper
5 formed in the fixed supporter 21 of the fixing attachment plate 2 is formed near the cut section 22 is because the ends 51 and 61 are formed in the location too much close to the wall 9 based on the central line P in the case that the angle θ between the end 51 of the fixed stopper 5 and the end 61 of the rotating holders
6 is 90° angle, to accordingly make both the ends 51 and 61 not exhibited well to people who enter the door 8, as shown in FIGs. 4 and 6. Therefore, it is preferable that the end 51 of the fixed stopper 5 is formed close to the cut section 22.
In the hinge Ia according to the embodiment of FIGs. 1 and 2, three fixed supporters 21 are formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate 2, and two rotating holders 31 are formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate 3. In the case of the hinge Ia, a fixed stopper 5 is protrudingly formed up and down in the upper and lower surfaces of a fixing supporter 21 which is positioned at the center among three fixing supporters 21 formed in the fixing attachment plate 2, respectively, and a rotating control portion 6 is protrudingly formed downwards in the lower surface of the upper rotating holder and upwards in the upper surface of the lower rotating holder of two rotating holders 31 which are formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate 3. In the hinge Ib according to the embodiment of FIG. 3, two fixed supporters 21 are formed in the fixing attachment plate 2, and one rotating holders 31 is formed in the rotating attachment plate 3. In the case of the hinge Ib, a fixed stopper 5 is protrudingly formed downwards in the lower surface of the upper fixing supporter and upwards in the upper surface of the lower fixing supporter of two fixing supporters 21 which are formed in the fixing attachment plate 2, respectively, and a rotating control portion 6 is protrudingly formed up and down in the upper and lower surfaces of one rotating holder 31 which is formed in the rotating attachment plate 3, respectively.
In the hinges Ia and Ib according to the embodiments of FIGs. 7 and 8, a rotating control portion 6 is protrudingly formed in the rotating holders 31 of the rotating attachment plate 3, and a fixed stopper 5 is formed at the position where the rotating control portion β stops, in the cut section 22 of the fixing attachment plate 2.
In the hinge Ia shown in FIG. 7, one rotating control portion 6 is protrudingly formed in the outer surfaces of two rotating holders 31 formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate 3, respectively, and one fixed stopper 5 is protruded in two cut sections 22 formed in one end of the fixing attachment plate 2, respectively.
The fixed stoppers 5 which are respectively formed in the cut sections 22 can be formed in a slanted form or in a curved surface fashion so as to surface-to-surface contact the rotating control portion β respectively.
In the case of the hinge Ib of FIG. 8, a rotating control portion 6 protruded from one rotating holders 31 formed in one end of the rotating attachment plate 3 is protrudingly formed in the upper and lower surfaces of the rotating holder 31, and two fixed stoppers 5 are formed in the upper and lower portions of the cut section 22 of the fixing attachment plate 4, respectively.
As shown in FIGs. 7 and 8, each rotating control portion 6 is formed with the structure of hammering a pin which is separately manufactured, or with the structure of welding. Also, the rotating control portion 6 can be formed within the angular range at which the rotating attachment plate 3 can be rotated around the fixed stopper 5 formed in the fixed supporter 21 of the fixing attachment plate 2. In this embodiment, the rotating attachment plate 3 attached to the door 8 can be rotated within the angular range of 90° approximately with respect to the fixing attachment plate 2 which is fixedly adhered to the door frame 7. For this purpose, when the door 8 is closed, the angle θ between the fixed stopper 5 and the rotating control portion 6 is in the angular range of 90° angle.
In the meantime, in the case of the hinge Ia where three fixed supporters 21 are formed in the fixing attachment plate 2 and two rotating holders 31 are formed in the rotating attachment plate 3, an auxiliary spacer 23 whose cross-section is circular is interposed between the fixed supporters 21 and the rotating holders 31. However, the above-described auxiliary spacer 23 can be omitted. The function of the hinge constructed above according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings .
Even in the case of the hinges Ia and Ib, the fixing attachment plate 2 adheres to the door frame 7, and the rotating attachment plate 3 is attached to the door 8, in order to open and close the door 8, like the existing hinge. In the case of the hinges Ia and Ib according to the present invention, the door opening angle control unit is formed in the fixing attachment plate 2 and the rotating attachment plate 3, so that the door 8 can be opened only within the set angular range. The phenomenon that the opened door 8 may bump against the wall 9 or indoor ornaments installed on the wall 9 can be prevented.
Based on the position where the door 8 is closed as shown as the solid lines of FIGs. 4 and 9, the angle θ between the fixed stopper 5 and the rotating control portion 6 is widened within the angular range of 90° angle. In this embodiment, when the door is completely opened like the imaginary lines of FIGs. 5 and 9, the rotating control portion 6 formed in the rotating holders 31 of the rotating attachment plate 3 contacts the fixed stopper 5 formed in the fixing attachment plate 2. In this case, the rotating attachment plate 3 does not rotate anymore. Accordingly, the door 8 is opened only within the maximum angular width between the fixed stopper 5 and the rotating control portion 6, that is, within the angular range of 90° angle.
As described above, the door 8 is opened within the set angular range by the fixed stopper 5 and the rotating control portion 6 formed in the hinges Ia and Ib, it does not contact the wall 9 or the indoor ornaments installed on the wall 9. The wall paper, the tiles or the indoor ornament installed on the wall can be protected, or the door lock mounted to the door 8 can be protected.
As described above, a hinge according to the present invention employs a door opening angle control unit including fixed stoppers and rotating control portions. Accordingly, the angular range within through the rotating control portion can rotate about and stop with respect to the fixed stopper can be controlled. Thus, when the door is opened according to an installation position and condition of the door, the door can be opened within the angular range in which the door does not meet the wall or the indoor ornaments . As a result, the wall cannot be only protected but also the door itself and the door lock installed on the door can be protected. Accordingly, in the case of apartment houses or office buildings, the doors installed indoors may not collide with the wall or indoor ornaments installed on the wall before the residence enters, to resultantly prevent causes of maintenance or repair from occurring basically. In addition, in the case of condominium houses, hotels or motels, doors can be prevented from bumping against the walls or indoor ornament.
As described above, the present invention has been described with respect to particularly preferred embodiments. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and it is possible for one who has an ordinary skill in the art to make various modifications and variations, without departing off the spirit of the present invention. Thus, the protective scope of the present invention is not defined within the detailed description thereof but is defined by the claims to be described later and the technical spirit of the present invention. Industrial Applicability
As described above, the present invention provides a door open angle controllable hinge which can control a door opening angle with respect to all types of doors to be adhered to a door frame, to thereby prevent a door employing the hinge from bumping against a wall on which the door is mounted or the indoor ornaments, so as not to injure the wall or the door when the door is opened, and to thus get rid of a trouble source of a door lock mounted to the door.
