Abstract

The invention relates to a disposable, sterilised urinary pouch (1) for men, which provides protection against external contamination. The invention comprises a pouch which is separated for different uses by a set of heat welds (3) such as to form: non-return urine compartments (5, 6), an internal closure system consisting of adhesive tape (13) which is dampened by the urine, a stiffening collar (7) with a reinforcing zip which reinforces the neck of the opening (2) in the pouch, and a soluble sachet (9) which has been microperforated with breaking points and which contains gelling particles of 200mµ (10). According to the invention, the patient's urine passes through the neck of the opening in the pouch (7, 2) into a collecting channel (4) such as to dampen the adhesive paper (13) serving as a closure mechanism in order for same to gel owing to the polyacrylate sodium particles between the base of the pouch and the non-return heat welds (3), thereby preventing any risk of the urine leaking through the opening neck. The inventive device is particularly suitable for individuals suffering from incontinence, patients and persons confined to bed, by maximising protection against germs and against the risk of external contamination. The pouch can be easily destroyed or incinerated.

Description

URINARY SET GELIFYING SINGLE AUSAGE FOR MEN

The present invention relates to a device for male use; allowing to secure the hygiene, the environment of use, against nosocomial diseases and other risks of contaminations, like the SARS in hospital, clinics, retirement homes, the elderly, but also its ease of use for the patients and bedridden patients.

The method concerns a pocket in all functionalities are integrated in a single set, using no additional accessory, used once, incinerable after use, to eliminate the potential risk of contamination. The urine solidifies in the pocket between the bottom of the bag and thermo-welding (3) anti return, allowing hospital staff to collect the pockets easily, to incinerate. Claims

1- Disposable sterilized urinary pouch (1) for male use consisting of a set of thermo-welds (3) defining anti-return urine compartments (5) (6) of an internal closure formed by a gummed tape (13) moistened with urine; a stiffening flange (7) with a ZIP-type closure reinforcing the neck of the orifice (2) of the bag and a micro-perforated soluble bag (9) containing gelling particles (10).
