Description
Title
A THERMODYNAMIC MACHINE FOR PRODUCING OXYGENATED FUEL
This invention relates in general to fuels but more particularly to a machine that produces oxygenated fuel. Fuels such as gasoline, diesel or bunker need air to burn. Air supports combustion to burn the fuel. Without air, fuel would just be a volatile liquid that easily evaporates
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a thermodynamic machine that mixes air and fuel, within an enclosure to produce oxygenated fuel that makes the fuel burn easily and cleaner.
Still an object is to provide a machine that produces oxygenated fuel which does not contain any oxygenating agent like methanol, ethanol, methyl tertiary butyl ether and the like.
Another object is to provide machine that produces oxygenated fuel that is very useful in internal combustion engines since it burns easily giving extra mileage to automobile and reduces pollution.
Other objects and advantages of the present invention will come to light upon reading the following description taken in conjunction with the appended lone figure, wherein:
Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the machine. Referring now to the lone figure, wherein like numerals designate same parts throughout, there is shown our invention for a thermodynamic machine for producing oxygenated fuel generally designated as 10.
Said machine 10 comprises an enclosure 1 1 having an inlet pipe 12 and outlet pipe 13 opposedly disposed at the free ends thereof. A feed screw 14 is rotatively supported within said enclosure 11 through suitable bearings 14a. One end of said screw 14 extends from said enclosure 1 1 and is attached to an electric motor 16 for rotating thereof. A heating means 17 and a metal plate 17a are provided within said enclosure 1 1 .. A mixing tank 18 is in communication with the inlet pipe 12. Said mixing storage tank 18 is supplied with fuel through fuel line 19 and air by an air compressor 20 through air line 21.
Mixture of air/fuel from the mixing tank 18 is introduced into the enclosure through its inlet pipe 12. As the screw 14 rotates, air and fuel are further mixed within the enclosure 11 and the mixture is heated through the heating means 17 under controlled temperature and pressure for a definite period of time, preferably below boiling point. The metal plate 17a, preferably bronze, copper or steel absorbs some of the heat so not to atomize the fuel. The fuel may be gasoline, diesel, bunker, etc.
Air/fuel mixture is fed to a storage tank 22 by the screw 14 where it is stored for disposition.
The resulting product is oxygenated fuel with no more than 3% oxygen and is collected through the outlet pipe 13. The addition of oxygen in fuels makes the fuel burn cleaner.
Claims
1. A thermodynamic machine for producing oxygenated fuel comprising an enclosure having an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe opposedly disposed thereof, a feed screw rotatively supported within said enclosure, one end of said screw extends from said enclosure and is attached to an electric motor for rotating thereof, a heating means and metal plate are provided on said enclosure, a mixing tank is in communication with the said inlet pipe, said mixing tank being supplies with fuel and air; and
2. A thermodynamic machine as claimed in claim 1 wherein the resulting product of the machine is oxygenated fuel with 3% oxygen.
