Abstract

A skate tube (31) is designed to be accommodated in a skate frame (119) and comprises an outer tubular profile (32) and an elongate reinforcing element (35) . The outer tubular profile (32) is formed from a metal sheet, which on a first and a second longitudinal edge is provided with a first and a second flange (33) . The flanges (33) define an accommodation groove for accommodating a skate blade (34) . One side of the metal sheet forms an inside of the outer tubular profile (32) . The elongate reinforcing element (35) extends in the outer tubular profile (32) along at least part of the length of the tubular profile (32) and is supported at least at two points on the inside of the tubular profile which are situated substantially diametrically opposite each other (32) . The elongate reinforcing element (35) is formed from a second material, which second material is not the same as the metal of the sheet.
