Description
Ironing Press for Domestic Use combined with iron - steam iron
This invention relates to an iron - steam iron for ironing press for domestic use in a manner such as to allow the performance of an excellent ironing of any type of garment with or without steam.
The ironing presses have come into common use some time ago and allow good ironing of any type of garment with or without steam even if a proper working level is not available.
The ironing presses existing today have stili room for improvement, especially concerning the uniform distribution of heat and steam on the garment to be ironed, the elimination of the condensation formed on it and the finish of the ironing at the difficult parts of the garment to be ironed, e.g. the shirt's cuffs and collars.
These problems are very well solved by the iron - steam iron added to the ironing press according to this invention, whose main characteristics are shown in Claim No 1 , while more positive characteristics are shown in the attached claims.
The object, the characteristics and the advantages of the iron - steam iron for the ironing press according to this invention will be more comprehensible after an examination of the detailed description of an explanatory form of realization of the extent of the invention that is given as an example and not restrictively and is given with reference to the drawings, of which:
Drawing 1 is the view of an open appliance showing the various components that compose it, and
Drawing 2 is the view of the appliance assembled from its lower side, partially intersected to show the relation between the various components.
Referring now to the above views of the drawings, the ironing press for domestic use mainly consists of two surfaces of ironing board, a lower one that is fixed and an upper one that opens like a book and moves with a handle and in between them the garment is put for ironing. This construction is common for the ironing presses existing in the market.
Proceeding now to the detailed description of an ironing press for domestic use in drawing 1, starting from the lower part of the appliance, it includes a base (10) on which the lower surface of ironing board (9) is placed for which the cover (8), on which the operation handle (11) rests, provides and in turn is connected with the upper level (12) which is equipped with a heated surface of ironing board (13) that can be lifted in relation to the lower parts of the appliance allowing the garment to be put for ironing.
The useful perfection we are referring to is the addition of a small auxiliary iron - steam iron (2) that is placed on a base (3) on the right side of the ironing press and this base can be also used as a storage space for the iron and be a sliding base that can store the iron under the lower surface of ironing board (9). Furthermore, the iron - steam iron is heated independently through a cable connected to the power of the ironing press. In addition to the independent steam output, it is connected in such a manner that it can also have steam through the boiler of the ironing press provided it has one.
Consequently, when the user wants to iron difficult parts such as the shirt's collar and cuffs, he takes the iron (2) from its base (3), proceeds to the desired finish and then he places it back on its base (3) in order to have it ready for another need.
Drawing 2 shows the iron - steam iron (2) stored inside the sliding - opening base (3) which can be also used as a storage space for the iron - steam iron (2), so that the user places it there whenever he wants to store it, and is located under the lower surface of ironing board (9).
The electrical part of the appliance is neither described nor illustrated, because it can be easily implemented by any technician of this field.
It is very clearly proved that the appliance of this invention fully achieves the predetermined objects and advantages, but it should be pointed out that many modifications, additions, changes or/and components' replacements can be made to it without such appliance being out of the patent's protection, as defined in the attached claims.
