Abstract
The invention relates to a device which is intended to harness the energy of waves in the sea or ocean. More specifically, the invention relates to a device comprising floats (1, 2 and 3), pinions (7), a braking plate (10) and a cable (14), which can be used to collect the sum of the energies of each wave covered by the device at a single point on the central shaft (14), using the difference between the crest and the trough of the wave. According to the invention, the floats (1 and 2) follow the crest of the wave, while the central shaft of the pinion (7) remains permanently at the level of the trough of the wave, thereby creating a reciprocating movement. The inventive device is intended to produce renewable, non-polluting energy.
