Description

Description
GOLF GRIP WASHING IMPLEMENT
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a golf grip washing implement. More particularly, the present invention relates to a golf grip washing implement having a washing body comprising a plurality of body parts, each provided with a brush on an inner surface thereof and combined with each other in a hinging manner. The washing body has a small volume which is advantageous for hand-held use and can be opened and closed in a hinging manner, so that a golfer can always carry the golf grip washing implement and wash a golf grip during or after playing through a simple method comprising the steps of opening the washing body, placing a golf grip in the washing body having brushes therein, closing the washing body, and moving the washing body several times in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction, thereby eliminating grime such as sweat or soil sticking to a rough surface of the golf grip. Background Art
[2] Generally, a gold grip is devised to ensure a secure grip on a golf club, and so it is made of an anti-slipping material and has an anti-slipping shape.
[3] If a golf grip of a golf club is used for a long time, grime such as sweat or soil is attached to and builds up on the surface of the golf grip, resulting in poor adhesion between the golf grip and user's hands. Accordingly, the golf grip can easily slip from user's hands and the grip can become loosened.
[4] Accordingly, there is a need to wash a golf grip after using it in order to eliminate grime attached to the surface of the golf grip. Generally, the golf grip is manually washed by wiping the golf grip using a piece of fabric or a toothbrush wetted with cleaning detergent.
[5] However, the conventional washing method has the disadvantages of not being able to wash many golf grips in a short time, and requiring a lot of time and effort to conduct washing work.
[6] In order to solve the problems of the conventional golf grip washing method, a rotational brushing implement was suggested in Japanese Patent Publication Numbers. Hei. 6-25951 and Hei. 9-16961. However, the rotational brushing implement also has disadvantages in that a long golf club must be inserted into the rotational brushing implement in a horizontal direction because a golf grip insertion part of the rotational brushing implement is arranged in a horizontal direction and cannot be opened, thereby the rotational brushing implement takes up a large surface area when washing is performed, and it is difficult to install and separate a golf grip in and from the insertion part of the brushing implement. Further, the brushing implement is not portable because it has a large volume. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[7] Accordingly, the present invention is devised in consideration of the aforementioned problems and situations, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a golf grip washing implement which allows a golf grip of a golf club to be easily installed therein because a washing body can be opened, and is capable of rapidly eliminating grime such as sweat or soil sticking to the rough surface of the golf grip as the washing implement is moved several times in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction.
Technical Solution
[8] In order to achieve the above described object, there is provided a golf grip washing implement comprising a unit washing implement, each implement (1) having a washing body (11)(H') comprising body parts (11)(H'), each having a grime elimination means therein, combined by a hinge joint using a hinge pin (12) at hinged edges thereof for the washing body (11)(H') to be opened and closed, and having an inner coupling depression (112) and an outer coupling depression (112') at edges opposite the hinged edges.
[9] The grime elimination means comprises a brush (111) made of a flexible and elastic material, in which hairs of the brush are longer from an upper portion to a lower portion of the washing body (11)(H').
[10] The grime elimination means comprises porous loofah (13) installed on a surface of the body part (H'), and a washing water supply part (14) is provided to a center portion of the body part (H'), in which the washing water supply part (14) includes a washing water storage tank (141) having a plurality of spray holes (142)(142'), a pushing lever (143) installed on a top portion of an outer surface of the washing water storage tank (141), and a plug (144) combined to a lower portion of the washing water storage tank (141). Advantageous Effects
[11] The golf grip washing implement according to the present invention provides a user with the following advantageous effects. First, the golf grip washing implement has a washing body comprising a plurality of body parts, each having a brush therein and being combined with each other by a hinge joint, so that the washing body can be opened and closed in a hinge manner. A user can always carry it because it has a small volume.
[12] Second, the golf grip washing implement can rapidly eliminate grime such as sweat or soil sticking to the rough surface of a golf grip through a simple method comprising the steps of opening a washing body, placing the golf grip in the washing body, closing the washing body, and moving the washing body several times in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction. [13] Third, a golf grip contaminated with sweat or soil has a slippery and hard surface, thereby poorly adhering to a user's hands. Accordingly, the golf grip can slip or slide from the user's hands when a user uses it, so that the user cannot make a precise shot.
In this instance, if the golf grip is washed by using the golf grip washing implement according to the present invention, that is, grime is eliminated from the surface of the golf grip, the golf grip can have smoothness and adhesion. Accordingly, the washed gold grip does not slip or slide in user's hands, so that a user can comfortably make a precise and stable shot when striking a golf ball. Accordingly, a user can make a good shot and the life span of the golf grip is extended.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention [23] Hereinafter, golf grip washing implements according to embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. [24] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, a golf grip washing implement according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a washing body comprising body parts 11 and 11', which are combined with each other using a hinge pin 12 and a hinge joint, so that the washing body 11 and 11' can be opened and closed. The body parts 11 and 11 ' have coupling depressions at edges opposite hinged edges. That is, an inner coupling depression 112 of the body part 11 is formed on an inner surface of the body part 11 and an outer coupling depression 112' of the body part 11' is formed on an outer surface of the body part 11'. Accordingly, the washing body 11 and 11' is not easily opened because the inner coupling depression 112 and the outer coupling depression 112' are engaged with each other when the washing body 11 and 11' is closed.
[25] The washing body 11 and 11' is provided with grime elimination means for eliminating grime such as sweat, dust or soil attached to the surface of a golf grip.
[26] The washing body 11 and 11' has a shape that can enclose a golf grip. That is, each of the body parts 11 and 11' has a semicircular section and is made of rigid synthetic resin or polyethylene through an extrusion molding method.
[27] The body parts 11 and 11' have hinge brackets, having predetermined width, depth and length, at respective hinged edges, which are interlocked using the hinge pin 12. To interlock the hinge brackets of the body parts 11 and 11' using the hinge pin 12, hinge holes 14 and 14' having a predetermined diameter are formed through the hinge brackets of the body parts 11 and 11' in the longitudinal direction of the hinge brackets.
[28] The hinge pin 12 inserted in the hinge holes 14 and 14' has a length slightly shorter than the total length of the washing body 11 and 11', and has a ring-shape pull 121 on the top thereof in order to allow the hinge pin 12 to be easily inserted into and pulled out of the hinge holes 14 and 14'. Thanks to this structure, a user can choose and replace a different type of washing body 11 and 11' having a water supply part 14 therein to wash a golf grip.
[29] The body parts 11 and 11' have unlocking dimples 112a and unlocking protrusions
112a' arranged at regular intervals on an inner surface and an outer surface of the coupling depressions 112 and 112', respectively, so that the unlocking dimples 112a and the unlocking protrusions 112a' engage. The body parts 11 and 11' are assembled as the unlocking dimples 112a and the unlocking protrusions 112a are engaged, so that the washing body comprising the body parts 11 and 11' is not easily opened once it is locked.
[30] The washing body 11 and 11' according to the one embodiment has a planar surface but it can be designed to have a curved surface as illustrated by the dotted line in FlG. 4. That is, as the washing body 11 and 11' has a cushioned knob 15 on an outer surface thereof, the washing implement can be prevented from slipping when a user moves the washing implement in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction to wash a golf grip. The cushioned knob 15 is made of semi-rigid synthetic resin while the washing body 11 and 11' is made of a rigid material.
[31] The grime elimination means is provided to eliminate grime such as sweat, dust or soil attached to the surface of a golf grip G and is inserted or disposed in the washing body 11 and 11' constituting the washing implement. The grime elimination means is preferably a brush 111.
[32] Each hair of the brush has a thin and sharp tip in order to eliminate the grime attached to fine grooves formed on the surface of a golf grip G. That is, the shape of the brush 111 is similar to that of a dental toothbrush. Further, the brushes 111 have a length gradient. That is, the lengths of the brushes are longer from an upper portion to a lower portion thereof, so that the brushes can be in tight contact with the surface of a golf grip, which is generally tapered.
[33] A method of washing a golf grip using the above described golf grip washing implement will be described below.
[34] First, the closed washing body 11 and 11' is opened when a user presses the portion of the washing body 11 and 11' at which the outer coupling depression 112' is formed. When the washing body 11 and 11' is pressed, the washing body 11' is bent slightly toward the inside of the washing body 11', so that the unlocking protrusions 112a' formed on the outer coupling depression 112' are released from the unlocking dimples 112a formed on the inner coupling depression 112, and the binding force of the body parts 11 and 11' is lifted.
[35] After the binding force is removed, the body parts 11 and 11' are pulled back to be spaced apart from each other, so that the washing body 11 and 11' is opened wide with respect to the hinge pin 12 serving as a hinge shaft. In this state, a golf grip G to be washed is placed in the washing body 11 and 11', and then the washing body 11 and 111 is closed. At this time, if the washing body 11 and 11' is pressed, as the unlocking dimples 112a are engaged with the unlocking protrusions 112a', the washing body 11 and 11 ' is kept closed.
[36] Then, the golf club is held by one hand of a user, and the washing body 11 and 11' is held by the other hand of the user. In this state, the user moves the washing body 11 and 111 in the vertical direction to eliminate grime attached to the surface of the golf grip G. That is, while the washing body 11 and 11' is moved in the vertical direction, the brushes 111 provided in the washing body 11 and 11' rub the surface of the golf grip G, thereby eliminating grime. In this instance, since the lengths of hairs of the brush 111 vary from an upper portion to a lower portion, that is, hairs of the brush 111 at the upper portion are relatively short and hairs of the brush 111 at the lower portion are relatively long, the grime can be more easily eliminated from the surface of a gold grip G.
[37] After elimination of the grime, in order to separate the washed golf grip G from the washing body 11 and 11', the outer coupling depression 112' of the washing body 11' is pressed. At this time, the unlocking protrusions 112a' are released from the unlocking dimples 112a, and the binding force of the washing body 11 and 11' is lifted. In this state, the body parts 11 and 11' are pulled back and then the golf grip is separated from the washing body 11 and 11'.
[38] According to the embodiment of the present invention, the grime elimination means is provided to both of the body parts 11 and 11', but one of the body parts 11 and 11 ' can have a washing water supply part 14 at a center portion thereof instead of the brush 111, as shown in FIGS. 6 to 8. That is, in the case that one body part 11' has the washing water supply part 14 and the other body part 11 has the brush 111, the washing implement has higher grime elimination efficiency. The washing water supply part 14 comprises a washing water storage tank 141, a plurality of spray holes 142 and 142' formed on an inner surface of the washing water storage tank 141, a pushing lever 143 attached to an upper portion of the outer surface of the washing water storage tank 141, and a plug 144 provided in a lower portion of the washing water storage tank 141.
[39] External water is supplied into the washing water storage tank 141 by opening the plug 144, and the water in the tank 141 is sprayed toward the surface of the grip G through the spray holes 142 and 142' by a pressure generated by pushing the pushing lever 143 one time.
[40] In this case, a plurality of brushes 111 having the above described shape is preferably installed in the washing body on both sides of the washing water storage tank 141.
[41] According to the embodiment of the present invention, the body part 11' of a washing body 11 and 11' is provided with a brush 111 as the grime elimination means, but the body part 11' can have porous loofah on the inner surface thereof at both sides of the washing water storage tank 141 instead of a brush 111 as the grime elimination means, in which case the body part 11 still has the above described brush 111. Thanks to this structure, the grime elimination effect can be increased, since the grime is rubbed by the brush 111 and then rubbed by the loofah.
