Abstract

A method for teaching a person to efectively swing a golf club includes establishing a hand line (HL) the person can feel when they grip the club. The grip can be one of an interlocking, overlapping, baseball or ten finger golf club grip. The person visualizes a bottom line (BL) formed by the intersection of a swing circle of the hand line and an intended line of flight of the ball. Practice aids incorporating the bottom line can be used to help the person learn the method. A nose line (NL) corresponds to the location of the nose on the person's face. The person keeps his nose line behind the ball from his address position through impact of the club with the ball, and then releases his nose line past the bottom line after impact of the club with the ball.
