Abstract

There is described an audiovisual data object storage device (200), said device (200) comprising a storage memory (100) with a part thereof designate for storing audiovisual data objects, said device (200) comprising: (a) an input for receiving audiovisual data at the device (200); (b) a buffer (30) for storing said audiovisual data received at the device (200); and (c) a table of contents (110) for user-presentation, said table (110) comprising references to data objects stored in the device (200), said table of contents (110) including identifiers relating to the data objects and indicative of whether the objects are stored in the buffer (20) or the storage memory (100).
