Abstract

In a vessel, such as a collapsible bag, a fluid is received and agitated using a fluid-agitating element driven by an external motive device, such as a motor, and supported by a bearing, such as a roller bearing.

11. The apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the bearing is annular and includes an opening for receiving the post.
12. The apparatus according to claim 10, further including a removable locking element for locking the bearing and the fluid-agitating element on the post,
13. The apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the vessel includes a cavity for receiving the ball thrust bearing and the fluid-agitating element
14. An apparatus intended for receiving a fluid and a magnetic fluid-agitating element, comprising: a collapsible vessel having an interior compartment capable of receiving and holding the fluid and the fluid-agitating element, the vessel including a tube extending into the interior compartment and associated with a rigid housing for a drive magnet for coupling with the fluid-agitating element in the vessel.
15. The apparatus according to claim 14, further including a roller bearing associated with the vessel for supporting the fluid-agitating element
16. The apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the roller bearing is attached to the housing.
17. The apparatus according to claim 14, further including a drive shaft for positioning in the tube to engage and rotate the drive magnet.
18. The apparatus according to claim 17, further including a motor for rotating the drive shaft.
19. The apparatus according to claim 14, further including a roller bearing for supporting the drive magnet in the housing.
20. The apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the tube is flexible.
21. The apparatus according to claim 14, further including a second tube extending into the interior compartment and associated with a second housing for a second drive magnet for coupling with a second fluid-agitating element in the vessel.
22. An apparatus intended for receiving and agitating a fluid, comprising: a collapsible vessel including an interior compartment for receiving the fluid; and a magnetic fluid-agitating element positioned in the interior compartment of the vessel; wherein the vessel includes a tube extending into the interior compartment and supporting a roller bearing for use in rotating the fluid-agitating element in the vessel.
23. The apparatus according to claim 22, wherein the bearing is in the interior compartment of the vessel.
24. An apparatus intended for receiving and agitating a fluid, comprising: a collapsible, hermetically sealed vessel having an interior compartment capable of receiving and holding the fluid; and first and second independently rotatable fluid-agitating elements for mixing any fluid in the sealed vessel.
25. The apparatus according to claim 24, further including first and second motors for independently causing the fluid-agitating elements to rotate.
26. The apparatus according to claim 24, wherein at least one fluid-agitating element is a magnetic impeller positioned within an interior compartment of the vessel and rotated by way of a coupling with a drive magnet driven by a shaft associated with a motor.
27. The apparatus according to claim 24, wherein the first and second imid- agitating elements are magnetic impellers positioned within an interior compartment of the vessel, each fluid-agitating element rotated by way of a coupling with a drive magnet driven by a shaft associated with a motor.
