Abstract

The invention relates to improved heat exchanger materials. In a particular aspect, the invention is directed to aluminum alloy brazing sheet having a core alloy and braze cladding. Generally, the core alloy has 1.0 to 1.6 weight % Mn, 0.2 to about 0.9 weight % Si + Fe, 0.3 to 0.7 weight % Cu, 0.05 to 0.4 weight % Mg, 0.004 to 0.154 weight % Cr, 0.01 to 0.167 weight % Zn, 0.05 to 0.2 weight % Ti, and balance Al and unavoidable impurities. The invention is also directed to braze sheet that has an inner liner that further improves strength and corrosion resistance of brazing sheet.
