Abstract
The invention refers to a dispenser for conditioning of dental floss or dentotape in a format of pen or pencil, which allows for functional and constructive improvement, with project endowed of containment body (1), for the dental floss spool (2), tip (3) with cutting blade (4) and cover (5), which make easier to carry, to store and to fasten the dispenser in the user's clothes or personal objects and that can be used as an advertising mean, that has spaces reserved to exhibition of trade marks or advertising messages without loosing reliability inherent to dental floss and dentotape dispensers.
Description
"DISPENSER FOR DENTAL FLOSS OR DENTOTAPE IN FORM OF PEN OR PENCIL".
This patent of invention refers to a dispenser for conditioning, cutting and dispensing of dental floss or dentotape in a format of pen or pencil, whose project is endowed of containment body, tip with cutter and cover, which makes easier to carry, to store and to hold the dispenser in the user's clothes or personal objects. Besides this, it can be used as an advertising mean, exhibiting trade marks or messages in the dispenser external body or cover, without loosing reliability inherent to dental floss and dentotape dispensers. For the systems of conditioning dental floss or dentotape inside the containment body, in one case, it is foreseen that dental floss or dentotape be coiled upon a support, in the form of a spool rest on a spool holder fitted inside the containment body; in another case, coiled over itself, in the form of a compact thread ball and, consequently, without needing a spool holder. Inside the containment body, dental floss or dentotape can be used as a refill when dispenser in a pen or pencil format is not disposable.
As it is well know by the consumers and technicians from the branch, currently there are dispensers for dental floss or dentotapes in a small size, disposable, mobile and in a rectangular prismatic or cylindrical format to be carried in purses, "necessaries", or to keep loose in sinks. There are also dispensers of dental floss or dentotapes in a bigger size, fixed and assembled on bathroom walls in public locals, such as bathrooms or toilets, endowed of mechanisms for cutting, traction and releasing of pieces of dental floss or dentotape ready to use.
Current small-sized dispensers for dental floss or dentotapes present the disadvantage that they cannot be fastened and consequently are carried loose, making easy their loss and even the external contamination of their bodies. Dispenser for dental floss or dentotape in form
of pen or pencil has the advantage that it can be fastened in the user's clothes or personal objects, preventing its loss and contamination.
"DISPENSER FOR DENTAL FLOSS OR
DENTOTAPE IN FORM OF PEN OR PENCIL", object of the present patent, was developed to bring a new aesthetical option and easier carrying, storage and holding of dental floss or dentotapes. Endowed of innovative project and intelligent, beautiful and discreet design, dispenser for dental floss or dentotape in form of pen or pencil surprises the users, who don't expect to find a dental floss or dentotape inside a format normally used for pens or pencils. Dispenser for dental floss or dentotape in form of pen or pencil is useful, necessary and anatomical, making easier the carrying, storage and fastening of the dispenser on the user's clothes or personal objects, making more reliable the act of mouth hygiene. It can be built with so simple a material that it can be disposable or so sophisticated that it can become a jewel, ideal to exhibit trade marks or advertising messages. Being a differentiated and innovative product, dispenser for dental floss or dentotape in form of pen or pencil can have a double purpose, as it can be used as a ball pen or pencil and as a dispenser for dental floss or dentotape at the same time. All this, without losing the utilization reliability and the comfort inherent to dental floss or dentotapes dispensers. Dispenser for dental floss or dentotape in form of pen or pencil has the advantage that it can be fastened in the user's clothes or personal objects, preventing its loss and contamination.

According to the referred figures, the dispenser for dental floss or dentotape has a format of a pen or pencil and is constituted of containment body (1), hollow, in a cylindrical or polygonal prismatic or oval format with a stepped cylindrical inner part (1-A) in its top part, and with rear cover (1-B) fitting or blind, spool holder (2), bulky, in form of stepped cylinder with larger diameter in the bottom part and with a diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the body (1), one-piece tip (3), close to the body (1) or fitting, hollow, in a conical or mixed format, stepped cylindrical (3 -A) in the bottom part and double frustum of a cone (3 -B) on the top part with the top face endowed with a channel (3 -C) and frontal face (3-D) in cylindrical back endowed of two channels (3-D-l) for fitting the knife holder (4), knife holder (4) in form of "U" with two brims fitting in the channels (3-D-l) and with cutting blade (4-A) in its frontal part, and cover (5), hollow in a conic or cylindrical format with diameter slightly superior to the diameter of the tip (3) and with fastener (5-A), conventional.
For dispenser, it was idealized a system for producing dental floss or dentotape coiled in a tubular format, which can be commercialized separately from the dispenser, in other words, in form of refill. The dental floss or dentotape refill can be coiled around a holder, such as a spool, or around itself, like a hank producing a thread ball of dental floss or dentotape in a tubular form, without the need for a spool holder (2), sufficiently compact to be packed into the containment body (1). The dispenser can have double purpose of using it as a dispenser for dental floss or dentotape or, at the same time, as a pen or pencil. The sizes of the containment body (1) and of the cover (5) can be variable and consequently can have a variable length of dental floss or dentotape; the construction material can be plastic or metal, including golden, silvery or gold-platted. The assembly of the dental floss holder is accomplished in the following way:
1. For the model with fitting inferior cover (1-B): l.a) With the dental floss or dentotape thread ball or the spool of dental floss or dentotape fitted in the spool holder (2) charged with dental floss or dentotape and with the loose tip at the top, the same is fitted in the inner of the containment body (1) and the inferior cover (1-B) is fitted; l.b) The tip of the dental floss is passed through the inner channel (3-C) of the tip (3) keeping loose the tip; l.c) The blade holder (4) is fitted in the channels (3-D-l) of the tip (3); and l.d) The cover (5) is fitted in the tip (3) keeping loose the dental floss tip.
2. For the model with blind inferior cover (1-B):
2. a) With the dental floss or dentotape thread ball or the spool of dental floss or dentotape fitted in the spool holder (2) charged with dental floss or dentotape and with the loose tip at the top, the same is fitted in the inner of the containment body (1) and the tip (3) is fitted in the containment body (1);
2.b) The tip of the dental floss is passed through the inner channel (3-C) of the tip (3) keeping loose the tip;
2.c) The blade holder (4) is fitted in the channels (3-D-l) of the tip (3); and
2.d) The cover (5) is fitted in the tip (3) keeping loose the dental floss tip.
The utilization of the dental floss is accomplished by opening the cover, pulling the dental floss by the channel (3 -C) and cutting it in the cutting blade (4-A).
Claims
1. "DISPENSER FOR DENTAL FLOSS OR DENTOTAPE IN FORM OF PEN OR PENCIL", characterized by format of pen or pencil with double purpose of using it as a dispenser for dental floss or dentotape or, at the same time, as a pen or pencil, with variable form and dimensions and variables lengths of dental floss or dentotape, which can be coiled over itself and not over a spool holder, producing a thread ball of dental floss or dentotape in a tubular form, sufficiently compact to be packed into the containment body (1), with outer part profitable as publicity or advertising area and built in plastic or metallic materials.
2. "DISPENSER FOR DENTAL FLOSS OR DENTOTAPE IN FORM OF PEN OR PENCIL", according to claim 1, characterized by, containment body (1), hollow, in a cylindrical or polygonal prismatic or oval format with a stepped cylindrical inner part (1-A) in its top part, and with rear cover (1-B) fitting or blind, spool holder (2), bulky, in form of stepped cylinder with larger diameter in the bottom part and with a diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the body (1), one-piece tip (3), close to the body (1) or fitting, hollow, in a conical or mixed format, stepped cylindrical (3-A) in the bottom part and double frustum of a cone (3-B) on the top part with the top face endowed with a channel (3 -C) and frontal face (3-D) in cylindrical back endowed of two channels (3-D-l) for fitting the knife holder (4), knife holder (4) in form of "U" with two brims fitting in the channels (3- D-I) and with cutting blade (4-A) in its frontal part, and cover (5), hollow in a conic or cylindrical format with diameter slightly superior to the diameter of the tip (3) and with fastener (5-A), conventional.
3. DISPENSER FOR DENTAL FLOSS OR DENTOTAPE IN FORM OF PEN OR PENCIL", according to claim 1, characterized by, dental floss or dentotape be conditioned packed in balls or coiled in spool and that can be used as a refill.
