Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention [26] Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
[27]
[28] <First Embodiment
[29] As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, a shoe according to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a midsole 10 having a groove 12 formed on the outer cir¬ cumference of the bottom thereof, an outsole 20 having a protrusion 22 formed on the upper portion of the inner circumference of the top thereof in correspondence with the groove 12 of the midsole 10 to be coupled with the groove, and an upper 40.
[30] Furthermore, in the first preferred embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, if the outsole 20 is removed from the shoe, an ornamental band 30 can be disposed on the outer circumference of the midsole 10. The ornamental band 30 includes a band protrusion 32 formed on the inner circumference thereof and combined with the groove 12 of the midsole 10. The ornamental band 30 may have various shapes and colors to provide the shoe with an ornamental effect.
[31] Meanwhile, in the case where the midsole 10 is used alone as the outsole, the shoe becomes light in weight so that a wearer can feel a light sense of wearing. However, it is preferable to form various concavo-convex shapes on the bottom surface of the midsole 10 in order to provide a non-slip function, which is a basic function of the outsole 20.
[32]
[33] <Second and Third Embodiment
[34] The second and third embodiment of the present invention is to improve solidity by reinforcing the combination of the midsole 10 and the outsole 20. As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, in the second preferred embodiment, the midsole 10 includes a dovetail groove 14 of an inverted triangle type section formed on the bottom surface thereof in a lon¬ gitudinal direction, and the outsole 20 includes a dovetail protrusion 24 of the inverted triangle type section formed thereon in a longitudinal direction. The dovetail groove 14 and the dovetail protrusion 24 are firmly coupled with each other, so that the midsole 10 and the outsole 20 are in firm and close contact with each other at the central portion thereof.
[35] Meanwhile, as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, in the third preferred embodiment, the midsole 10 includes a plurality of insertion holes 16 formed on the bottom thereof and the outsole 20 includes a plurality of ball-shaped insertion pins 26 formed on the top thereof to correspond to the insertion holes 16 of the midsole 10. The insertion pins 26 are fit into the insertion holes 16, so that ball-shaped the midsole 10 and the outsole 20 are firmly combined with each other.
[36] Here, also in the second and third embodiments, the midsole 10 can be used as an outsole without the outsole 20, and the ornamental band 30 may be added.
[37]
[38] <Fourth Embodiment
[39] The fourth embodiment of the present invention is to increase easiness in attachment and detachment of the outsole. The outsole 20 has a plurality of notches formed on the inner edge of the protrusion 22 thereof in the first embodiment in such a manner as to divide the protrusion into plural segments.
[40] As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the notches may be notch lines 27a formed in a line shape, such as blade scars, or notch recesses 27b of a predetermined width. It is preferable that the number and shape of the notches are changed depending on hardness of materials and combining degree of the soles.
[41]
[42] <Fifth Embodiment
[43] In the fifth embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 13, the outsole
20 includes an edge part having a sidewall and a bottom part. A bottom piece 29 con¬ stituting the bottom part is selectively combined with the edge part.
[44] In general, the outsole needs abrasion resistance and high friction force, and par¬ ticularly, the edge part of the outsole is rapidly worn. So, in this embodiment, the outsole 20 can be divided by each function since the edge part is made of anti-abrasive material, and the bottom piece 29 is made of material providing a good buffering effect.
[45] Moreover, since the bottom piece 29 is selectively used, the shoe according to the present invention can be lightened in weight if the bottom piece 29 is not used. In addition, if the bottom piece 29 is used, the shoe can adjust buffering degree and friction degree by selectively combining one of the bottom pieces 29 of different shapes and hardness.
[46] Here, in the case where the outsole 20 is used alone without the bottom piece 29, as shown in FIGS. 14 and 15, the midsole 10 includes a coupling groove 18 formed on the outer circumference of the bottom thereof, and the outsole 20 includes a coupling jaw 28 upwardly formed from the upper portion of the bottom thereof in such a way as to correspond with the coupling groove 18 of the midsole 10. The coupling groove 18 and the coupling jaw 28 are firmly coupled with each other, so that the midsole and the outsole can sufficiently resist the external lateral force so as to firmly maintain the combined state of the midsole and the outsole.
[47] Furthermore, in the case where the bottom piece 29 is used, as shown in FIGS. 16 and 17, it is preferable that the bottom piece 29 and the outsole 20 are combined in the form of an inverted triangle and the ball-shaped insertion pins 26 are fit into the insertion holes 16 as shown in FIG. 13 in order to increase the combining force at the central portions of the midsole 10 and the outsole 20.
[48] Meanwhile, in the case where the midsole 10 alone is used as the outsole, as shown in FlG. 18, it is preferable to mount the ornamental band 30 on the midsole 10 so as to protect the outside of the midsole 10 and increase the aesthetic effect of the outward appearance. At this time, it is also preferable to form various concavo-convex shapes on the bottom surface of the midsole 10 in order to provide a non-slip function.
[49]
[50] <Sixth Embodiment
[51] As shown in FIGS. 19 and 20, the fifth embodiment of the present invention relates to the midsole 10 whose the rear heel portion is lower than the front heel portion. If the outsole 20 is removed and the midsole 10 is used alone, the wearer can feel a different sense of wearing and feel convenience when he or she drives a car or works in a sitting-down state.
[52] More description of this embodiment will be omitted since its using method is simple, as described above, namely, the outsole 20 or the bottom piece 29 is selectively used, or the midsole 10 is used alone after removing the outsole 20 or the bottom piece 29. However, several possible examples in use of this embodiment will be described as follows.
[53] FIG. 21 shows a general soccer shoe. In case of the soccer shoe manufactured to be used in a lawn field, when the wearer wears the soccer shoes in a place where there is no lawn, spikes protruding from the bottom of the soccer shoe are rapidly worn away and the lifetime of the shoe is relatively shortened. In this case, the soccer shoe must be replaced with a new one, and it is not economic. However, as shown in FIG. 22, if the separable outsole 20 is combined to the bottom of the soccer shoe, the wearer can wear the soccer shoe to which the outsole 20 is combined except a game time period, but can wear the soccer shoe in the athletic field after removing the outsole 20, whereby the present invention can reduce unnecessary abrasion of the spikes, extend the lifetime of the expensive soccer shoe, and promote the wearer s ability improvement.
[54] Alternatively, if the midsole 10 of the soccer shoe is manufactured for walking and the outsole 20 is detachably combined with the midsole 10, the wearer can wear the soccer shoe after removing the outsole 20 at normal time, but wear the soccer shoe after combining the outsole 20 with the midsole 10 during the game time period, whereby the present invention can achieve the same use purpose. In this case, means for firmly combining the outsole 20 with the midsole 10 must be mounted on the shoe in order to sufficiently maintain the combined state against various external forces.
[55] Meanwhile, the outsole 20 may be detachably combined with the midsole 10 by a zipper which is connected to the upper and the outsole 20 and opened in a direction of the outer circumference or by snap fasteners, without using the groove 12 and the protrusion 22.
[56] While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular il¬ lustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
[57]
[58]
Industrial Applicability
[59] As described above, if necessary, according to the present invention, the midsole can be used as the outsole.
[60] Furthermore, the present invention can lighten the weight of the shoe by removing the outsole or the bottom piece of the outsole.
[61] Moreover, the present invention can protect the outside of the midsole and provide an ornamental effect by additionally mounting the ornamental band on the outer cir¬ cumference of the midsole.
[62] In addition, since the outsole and the bottom piece are selectively used, the present invention can extend the lifetime of the shoe, and combine and replace the outsole and the bottom piece in various ways.
