Abstract

A light stand is configured with a plurality of lamp-carrying components (14, 20) attachable to one another so as to apply different shapes to the light stand and each provided with a guide channel (30). The guide channels (30) are shaped and dimensioned to receive and retain substantially the entire length of electrical cord (26) of each of the plurality of lamps (24).
