Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et une unité de commande de stockage permettant de transférer des données entre un hôte et un dispositif de stockage. L'unité de commande de stockage comprend un module de transport possédant un élément premier entré premier sorti ('FIFO') destiné à recevoir des trames d'un module de liaison, cet élément FIFO mettant en oeuvre deux pointeurs. Le premier pointeur pointe en direction de l'emplacement d'une trame reçue avec un code de redondance cyclique ('CRC') et le second pointer pointe en direction de la trame après vérification du CRC et acceptation de la trame. Ce procédé consiste à utiliser un premier pointeur pour pointer en direction d'un emplacement lorsqu'une trame arrive sans CRC, et à vérifier le CRC et la trame, pour savoir si cette dernière est acceptable, au moyen d'un second pointeur pour pointer en direction de l'emplacement du premier pointeur. Si une trame est corrompue, le premier pointeur et le second pointeur pointent en direction de l'emplacement d'un pointeur de réception.
