Abstract

Des molécules d'ADN, telles que des vecteurs d'expression contenant un promoteur IEX-1 inductible par rayonnement est couplé fonctionnellement à une séquence codant une protéine ou un polypeptide bioactif, sont utiles dans des applications de transfert de gènes. De préférence, le promoteur est un promoteur IEX-1 qui est modifié pour fournir une réponse et/ou une spécificité accrue à un rayonnement. L'invention concerne des procédés d'administration d'un tel vecteur d'expression d'ADN à des tissus d'animal hôte, ainsi que d'autres procédés d'utilisation d'une telle molécule. Les vecteurs et les procédés sont utiles à des fins de recherche, par exemple, dans la modification régulée et l'étude de la réponse cellulaire au rayonnement à l'aide de procédés in vitro et in vivo. Les vecteurs et les procédés sont également utiles dans des compositions et des méthodes thérapeutiques auxquelles ils sont associés, par exemple dans le traitement de cancers tels que le cancer de la prostate.
