Abstract

An inflatable bolster (50) for vehicle, the bolster (50) comprising a housing (60) the housing (60) defining an internal chamber (51), an upper tether (70) attached to an upper portion of the housing (60), a lower tether (80) attached to a lower portion of the housing (60), wherein the lower tether (80) is extensible so that upon inflation of the chamber (51), the chamber (51) moves upwardly and rearwardly relatively to the upper tether (70).
