Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de service installé entre des serveurs de production exécutant des applications de service et des utilisateurs de service. Les serveurs de production et leurs applications de service fournissent des services aux utilisateurs de service. Au cas où un serveur de production ne pourrait pas fournir de service aux utilisateurs, l'appareil de service peut intervenir de manière transparente afin de maintenir la disponibilité du service. Afin de maintenir la transparence eu égard aux utilisateurs de service et aux applications de service, les utilisateurs de service sont situés sur un premier réseau et les serveurs de production sont situés sur un second réseau. L'appareil de service accède aux adresses des utilisateurs de service sur le second réseau et aux adresses des serveurs de production sur le premier réseau. L'appareil de service obtient ainsi tout le trafic de réseau envoyé entre le serveur de production et les utilisateurs de service. Lorsque l'application de service fonctionne correctement, l'appareil de service achemine le trafic de réseau entre les deux réseaux à l'aide de diverses couches de réseau.
