Description
FIXING MEMBER OF A WALL-MOUNT TELEVISION WITH FUNCTION OF ANGLE AND DISTANCE CONTROL
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a fixing member for installing a thin screen television or monitor on a wall surface, and more particularly, to a fixingmember of a wall-mount television, which doubles convenience in use and provides the optimum viewing angle and distance regardless of installation location or position by con- nectively forming a mounting plate for installing a television and the rear surface of the television by both control links having a three-joint hinge shaft, and conveniently controlling the angle or distance of the installed television and monitor or the like. Background Art
[2] A television image receiver or monitor is generally placed on a table for use because it has a large volume and heavy weight.
[3] However, as thin-shaped televisions and monitors of a wall-mount type have been recently spread, it has become possible to install a television and monitor directly on an interior wall surface, thereby sharply increasing space efficiency.
[4] Such a thin screen television or monitor is directly mounted on a wall surface by a bracket. At this point, the bracket must have durability and fastening force enough to endure the weight of the television and monitor.
[5]
Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] However, in the television or monitor directly installed on a wall surface by the bracket, it is impossible to change an installation location or adjust an angle or view distance, which leads to a lot of inconvenience in use.
[7] Typically, the television or monitor installed on an interior wall surface is of such a structure that enables viewing only in the front due to installation characteristics because it is tightly contacted and fixedly installed to the wall surface.
[8] Accordingly, in a case where the television or monitor cannot be viewed in the front due to restrictions on installation location or position or it is too far away, this disables viewing the television or monitor with clear picture quality.
Technical Solution
[9] The present invention is directed to solve the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a fixing member of a wall-mount television, in which a mounting plate for directly fixing to a wall surface is formed, a pair of operating
links having a three-joint hinge shaft is formed on the mounting plate, and the rear surface of a television or monitor is connected to the ends of the operating links. Advantageous Effects
[10] Accordingly, the present invention has the effect of providing a fixing member of a wall-mount television which can provide an optimum view angle and distance regardless of installation location or position because it makes it easier to control the front and rear view distance of a television or monitor via a pair of operating links using a three-joint hinge shaft, and can freely control the view angle of the television or monitor by the operating links capable of lateral angle control.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention [25] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. [26] FlG.1 is an exploded perspective view of a fixing member of a television according to the present invention.
[27] F1G.2 is a perspective view showing a state in which the television is installed on a wall surface by using the fixing member of the present invention.
[28] The fixing member of the television of the present invention comprises a panel type mounting plate 2 having a plurality of fixing holes 1 and 1' for fixing to a wall surface 101 and a pair of operating links 10 and 10' for connecting the mounting plate 2 and the rear surface of the television 100.
[29] One end of the operating link 10 or 10' is connected to the front surface of the mounting plate 2, and the other end is connected to the rear surface of the television 100.
[30] Each of the operating links 10 and 10' consists of two separate unit roads 11 and
11 ' , and each of the ends of the unit rods 11 and 11 ' is rotatably and bendably coupled to the mounting plate and the television by hinge pins 12 and 12'.
[31] At the ends of the respective unit rods 11 and 11', crank-shaped connecting portions
13 and 13' corresponding to each other are formed. Fastening holes 14 and 14' for inserting the hinge pins 12 and 12' are respectively formed at the connecting portions 13 and 13'. Therefore, the rotation and bending of the unit rods 11 and 11' are smoothly performed by the corresponding connecting portions 13 and 13', and a supporting force for the television is kept stable.
[32] A procedure of controlling the angle and distance of a television by using the thus- constructed fixing member of a wall-mount television of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[33] As described in detail above, the fixing member of a television of the present invention comprises a mounting plate 2 directly fixed to a wall surface 101 and operating links 10 and 10' pivotably coupled to the mountingplate 2 by a plurality of hinge pins. The rear surface of the television 100 is connected to the ends of the operating links 10 and 10'.
[34] Each of the operating links 10 and 10' consists of two separate unit rods 11 and 11', and each of connecting portions 13 and 13' is pivotably connected by the hinge pins 12 and 12'. Therefore, the connecting portions of the unit rods 11 and ll'have ajoint shape that is rotated and bent by the hinge pins 12 and 12' .
[35] A procedure of connecting the television to the mounting plate by using, for example, the unit rods at one side, among the four separate unit rods 11 and 11 'will be described. With one ends of the two unit rods overlapped with each other, the hinge pins 12 and 12'are inserted into the fastening holes 14 and 14' of the connecting portions 13 and 13' for connecting them, and the other ends of the unit rods are connected to the rear surfaces of the mounting plate 2 and television 100 by the hinge pins 12 and 12'. The unit rods at the other side are installed in the same way.
[36] At this point, the mounting plate 2 is firmly installed on the wall surface 101 by
using fixing holes 1 and 1'. The television 100 installed on the front surface of the mounting plate 2 through the plurality of unit rods can be controlled in view angle and view distance by the hingeably coupled operating links 10 and 10'. [37] That is to say, as shown in FlGs.3 and 4, in a case where the view angle of the television 100 needs to be controlled, a user pulls or pushes the television 100 to the front or rear of the user, holding both sides of the television 100. By this, the unit rods
11 and 11' of the operating links 10 and 10' are folded or unfolded simultaneously along the direction of the force, thereby enabling it to change the view distance of the television 100.
[38] Moreover, in a case where the view distance of the television 100 needs to be controlled, as shown in FlGs.5 and 6, the user pushes one side or the other side of the television 100 by hand. By this, one of the operating links 10 and 10' is folded, and the other operating link 10 and 10' is unfolded, thereby enabling the user to control the view angle by changing the orientation angle of the television in a desired direction.
[39]
[40] Especially, the connecting portions 13 and 13' at which the two unit rods 11 and
11 ' meet are formed in a crank shape in which they correspond to each other. Therefore, these connecting portions 13 and 13' formed in a crank shape are coupled to each other, thus providing a softer fastening force and a rotational force.
[41] Besides, at the connecting portions 13 and 13', fastening holes 14 and 14'for inserting the hinge pins 12 and 12' are formed. Upon assembling, when the hinge pins
12 and 12'are inserted into the fastening holes 14 and 14' of the connecting portions, the separate unit rods 11 and 11' are firmly and hingeably coupled to each other by the hinge pins.
[42] Accordingly, the fixing member of the present invention can control the view angle and distance as the user wants regardless of installation location or angle because it is capable of adjusting the installation direction or position of the television.
[43]
Industrial Applicability
[44] The present invention provides a fixing member of a television, in which a mounting plate directly fixed to a wall surface is formed, one ends of a pair of operating links having a three-joint hinge shaft are connected to the mounting plate, and the other ends of the operation links are connected to the rear surface of a television or monitor.
[45] According to this fixing member, it is made easier to control the front and rear view distance of a television or monitor via a pair of operating links usinga three-joint hinge shaft, and the view angle of the television or monitor can be controlled conveniently by
the operating links capable of lateral angle control. Consequently, it is possible to maintain the optimum viewing condition by conveniently controlling the distance and direction of a television or monitor according to the user's view angle and position.
