Abstract

A projection system (100, 200) includes a light source (101, 201) and an imaging surface (104, 207). The projection system also includes a saturable absorber (105, 208) between the light source and the imaging surface. In one example embodiment, the projection system is a scanning projection system and in another example embodiment the projection system includes a light valve such as a liquid crystal (LC) panel.
