Definitions

  • the invention relates to medicine, to tools and methods for performing surgical plastic operations.
  • the invention relates to medical materials used in surgery for plastic cosmetic surgery.
  • Surgical needles for suturing the edges of wounds during surgical operations are known (J. Zoltan, “Operational technique and conditions for optimal wound healing”, “Medicine”, Budapest, 1977) They are made of metal, more often steel, needles are straight, bent along a circle or other shape. The needles are pointed at one end, and the suture surgical suture is attached to the other.
  • atraumatic needles are most often used, which have no eye and the suture thread is attached to the needle in a factory way, which allows the surgeon to use a disposable sterile suture material, and most importantly, a needle that does not have a rough eye and a double thread. Such a needle slightly injures soft tissue when passing through them.
  • General characteristics of surgical needles strength, smooth surface, bioinertness. They should easily pierce the skin and pass freely through the subcutaneous tissue.
  • SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26)
  • Known methods for applying surgical sutures with the help of such needles which are usually used for suturing wounds, or suturing subcutaneous tissues: nodular, mattress, continuous and others. Suture of subcutaneous tissue is performed only in an open wound, or during endoscopic surgery. Such techniques are usually used by aesthetic surgeons to stitch, tighten ptosis subcutaneous tissues and strengthen them in a new, higher position, which provides a better aesthetic option.
  • the surgical needle made of metal or other material, is made double-edged, straight or of any curved shape with a surgical thread attachment element located along the length of the needle in any place, not reaching a certain distance to the needle tips.
  • the method of performing cosmetic surgery which consists in tightening the subcutaneous tissues, is characterized in that a double-edged needle is injected into the subcutaneous tissues along the intended contour and is not completely removed from under the skin with each turn, and further injections are performed with the opposite sharp-end of the needle, while providing a further injection needles at the point of her puncture, and the surgical thread provides high-quality smooth flashing of the subcutaneous tissues, and the final puncture of the needle is carried out to the side to the point of its initial injection, then under subcutaneous tissues are pulled at both ends of the suture as indicated by the operation and a surgical suture attachment site is imposed.
  • the needle may be straight, curved in a circle or other shape.
  • the basis of the present invention is the creation of a surgical needle for cosmetic operations with double-sided patency, which ensures its passage under the skin along a broken or long contour without its complete withdrawal to the skin surface, which will allow the thread to pass under the skin and subcutaneous flashing of soft tissues without skin retraction and get an even tightened contour.
  • FIG. 1 - depicts a double-edged needle of a straight form
  • FIG. 2 - depicts a double-edged needle circumferentially bent
  • FIG. 3 - schematically shows a method of conducting an operation
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic illustration of an operation
  • the surgical needle 1 is double-edged with the pointed ends 2 and 3 made of metal, polymer or other biological material.
  • the fastening element 4 of the surgical suture 5 is located anywhere on the needle along its length without reaching a certain distance to its tips.
  • the needle has a two-way cross and can be straight 1 or curved in a circle 6.
  • FIG. 4 is an example of tightening the soft tissues of the cheek-cheekbone area, creating a higher, aesthetically beneficial contour of this part of the face.
  • SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) puncture and incomplete withdrawal of a needle with a thread on the surface of the skin.
  • the tip of the needle should remain in the subcutaneous tissue, at point 8. Then, the needle is deployed under the scythe towards the point 9 and punctured at this point and its incomplete withdrawal to the skin surface is also performed. Here, the needle is also deployed subcutaneously, but already in the direction of point 7 and drawn along a new contour to this point, that is, the point of initial injection. At this point, both ends of the thread are pulled together, tied together in a strong knot, which is recessed under the skin.
  • the present invention can be widely used in various cosmetic and plastic surgeries, both independently and in combination with other surgical interventions.
  • the proposed surgical needle and a method for performing plastic surgery are industrially feasible, manipulations using a double-edged needle are simple and bloodless.
