GLASS ON A WELDING MASK BY REMOTE-CONTROL Technical Field
This invention relates to a welding mask equipped with a device with electromagnetic based system for opening and closing a colored glass, and according to the International Classifications of Patents it is classified as A61F 9/06. as work equipment for protection during welding operation.
Background Art
Major problems that welding workers have faced with for many years, while using classical welding masks, have been: engagement of one hand which holds mask; impossibility to fully and momentarily protect from flash at the beginning of welding operation; impossibility to precisely begin welding operation; impossibility to hold part being welded by own hand and simultaneously do welding and be protected.
Existing welding masks, equipped with laser system for eye protection, are very sensible on hits, their life time is short, and even more they are too expensive and as such not available to the most of welding workers. Suggested solutions by this time are non-efficient, outdated or too expensive and sensible. Traditional types of welding masks do not fully protect eyes and face of welding workers, which results in different degree of burns of skin, health problems, pains and other problems with eyes, and all of that significantly reduce work capabilities of professional and amateur welding workers, by time reduce productiveness, and results in early work invalidity. Also, using mask inevitably requires engagement of one hand, and that reduces hands capability for 50% and reduces preciseness of beginning of welding operation, which often leads to the necessary repetitions of operations or corrections, that results in different damaging or unwanted consequences.
So-called "Laser" or state-of-the-art welding masks are too sensible on hits, and because of that they reduce work relaxedness and concentration of welding workers. Laser equipped welding masks are too expensive and as such they are permanently not available to the 90% of professional and amateur
welding workers.
Laser equipped masks are very complex to produce, what results in a high price and short life of their functions. In the known state of techniques there are no solutions such as closing and opening colored glass on a welding mask by electromagnets.
Disclosure of Invention
Primary objective of the invention is full and efficient protection of welding worker's face and eyes and simultaneously enable both hands operable in each phase of welding operation, which makes welding worker 100% capable for work and 100% efficient in relation to the quality and productivity of welding operation. Secondary objective is to enable on a massive scale serial production of welding masks of high technical and functional characteristics. Further objective of the invention is to considerably lengthen life and usage of welding mask, and significantly make welding operation easier. Additional objective of the invention is new welding mask with this new technical solution of opening and closing colored glass, which is acceptable and available to each welding worker considering its market price.
This device with electromagnetic based opening and closing a colored glass on a welding mask, according to this invention includes; frame, in a crossing section view "F" profile, guide for colored glass with inside channel and upper margin, and also includes electromagnetic drive in which it is installed piston-like holder or lifter of colored glass, and external protecting and transparent thin wall, and all fixed on external front side of housing or on a body of a mask in a cut-out for observation. Closing colored glass by electromagnetic based drive is made possible due to the direct current from battery power-supply which is placed on internal side of welding mask, and turning on-off of power supply is done by hand remote-control placed on a pincers for welding within reach of a thumb of a hand which holds pincers. Side electromagnetic safety of the main piston-like holder of colored glass enables colored glass to stay in a closed position without using any electricity. By activating electromagnetic safety it releases colored
glass holder to open initial position, which is enabled by an adequate return spring. Side electromagnetic holder and spring placed inside it enable device to function without using any electricity except when opening and closing colored glass. Brief Description of Invention

Figure 2 shows 3D look of hand remote control Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention Referring to the Figures 1 and 2, we can see that this invention includes colored glass (3), main electromagnetic drive (4), which comprises of solenoid coil and piston-like holder of colored glass (7). According to this invention, when electromagnet is switched-on piston-like holder/carrier of colored glass comes out and closes cut-out for observation on a welding mask bringing colored glass in a final upper position. In a piston-like holder of colored glass there is a small groove in which goes pointed part (9) of a side electromagnetic safety (5). Parallel to the piston-like holder (7) it is fixed cylindrical spring (8) of adequate strength, whose function is to push colored glass in a starting position and due to the gravity based lowering of a piston-like holder, opening a colored glass (3) is, by axial puffing, easier and faster. According to the invention, opening a colored glass is done by electromagnetic pullback of a pointed part (9) of a side safety (5). Electromagnetic assemblies and their components can be made of adequate different materials according to the known technical-technological procedures for production of those assemblies. As it is accomplished here, functioning of this device is made possible due to the frame of "F" profile (6) with inside channel guide for colored glass (3) and for external protecting and transparent thin wall, which is made of adequate material. According to this invention, remote control or switch, fixed on a pincers by annular band - Figure 2, switches on electromagnets (4 and 5) over two knobs (10) and thus enables supply of electromagnets with direct current from battery power supply (12). Device is fixed on housing or on a body of a welding mask (1), and mask can be put on a
head with help of holders (2) of a welding mask, which are adjustable to the different size of heads. Industrial Applicability
Installation of this new device-invention enables practical, long-life, and useful functioning of device in the all types of welding operations, which can be economically produced and which includes very crucial improvements against classical welding masks.
