Abstract

An automated connectorization system for processing fiber optic connectors. The system can include one or more of a polishing station, a cleaning station, a tuning station, a testing station, an SC connector adjust station, an FC connector key press station, and a dust cap station. The connectors can be automatically conveyed and processed through the stations of the system from initial hackle removal through to dust cap application. The system can include a fixture having a first portion to clamp onto one of the connectors, and a second portion configured to allow a ferrule of one of the connectors to extend therethrough. The system can include an apparatus for moving a fiber including a first drive mechanism for moving the fiber through the system, and a second drive mechanism for moving the plurality of fiber optic connectors through the system.
