Description

SAFETY CLOSURE FOR BOTTLES WITH SECURING VALVE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a safety closure for bottles with a securing valve, which can be used for security closing of bottles containing any kind of liquid, particularly alcoholic drinks.
PRIOR ART
Known from prior art is a safety cap for bottles for expensive liquids (RU-2150417 C1 ), allowing pouring out of the liquid from the bottle and preventing refilling it. It consists of a casing having a flange made in a single piece and internally ribbed, and a plug, comprising external cap and a bush, both interconnected by means of a weakening line. There is an annular insert in the plug, called also a pouring body, which is inserted in the bush by a screw coupling and has a C-shaped section. In its upper part the pouring body has a guarding shield and the pouring edge at the periphery is protruding outside and has an annular drip- catching lip. On the internal cylindrical surface of the pouring body there are radial ribs, whose upper ends are connected to the guarding shield. Between the guarding shield and the pouring edge there is a concentric opening, which is linked with slots, formed between the radial ribs. The lower end of the pouring body ends up with a protruding flange and between the flange and the plug there is a back part, which closely fits to the supporting threshold and to the bottle mouth. In the lower part of the pouring body a profiled sealing body is installed, enveloping the bottle mouth periphery and consisting of a neck-shaped part, tightly fitted to the bottle mouth, and a peripheral cylindrical part, attached firmly to the lower internal cylindrical base of the poring body, and between them there is a front sealing ring, located on the front surface of the bottle mouth. Axially in the neck-shaped part and inside the pouring body a non-return valve is installed, allowing the exit of the liquid but preventing unauthorized filling of the bottle.
The valve is a ribbed cylindrical body with a step-type cut in the central upper part and a conically shaped lower external part, whose external surface contacts with the upper edge of the internal wall of the neck- shaped part. Openings and closings of the valve operate on the gravitation principle. When inclining the bottle and shifting the valve to an upward position, the liquid passes through the opening made between the conical surface of the valve and the upper edge of the internal wall of the neck-shaped part, then through the slots between the ribs of the pouring body and finally exits from the bottle through the concentric opening.
The internal cylindrical surface of the cylindrical flange is ribbed, and there are external teeth with a saw-like profile on the periphery. On the lower part of the external cap, by a weakening line an external ring- shaped protective element is fixed, having the role of a safety band. There are internal teeth on the inner surface of the protective element, corresponding to the external teeth of the cylindrical bush, which are wedged together before the first opening of the bottle. These teeth have a specific profile, angle and distance between them and are deformed by the opening of the plug.
The main problem is that the gravitation principle, on which this valve operates, is not sufficient to secure the one-way passage of the liquid. This valve has a complex construction and because of the possibility of its axial displacement the bottle can be refilled with liquid.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The objective of this invention is to create a simplified and reliable safety closure for bottles with a securing valve, which will prevent refilling of the bottle with liquid, as well as to offer a simplified and functional construction of the external protective element. The objective of this invention is achieved by creating of a safety closure for bottles with a securing valve, where the valve guarantees absolute and reliable closing of bottles and does not allow re-filling of the bottle, and the external protective element is made of separate segments.
The safety closure consists of a cylindrical flange and a plug, which includes an external cap and a bush, both of which remain integrated in a single piece after opening the bottle. A weakening line links the bush and the flange together.
Between the flange and the plug there is an external protective element made out of separate segments, which are not interconnected, and each segment lies into a cut. The cuts are made on the upper edge along the periphery of the cylindrical flange. The projection of the segment's external back wall and the projection of the cut's internal front wall are arcs, equally distanced and fitting to each other, so when rotating the plug to open the bottle, the segment wedges at the cud's end and the weakening line is easily torn off, the segments are detached from the plug and the cuts remain bare. In one preferred embodiment the plug has four segments and after their detachment, a one-letter symbol becomes visible in each of the cuts, in the following order - "U", "S", "E" and "D", signaling, that the plug has already been opened.
In other embodiments the segments may have a different number and different shape, but the shape of the segment always matches the shape of the cut.
The hollow pouring body inside the plug is installed in the bush by means of a screw coupling. On the upper part of the pouring body there are a guarding shield and a pouring-out edge with an annular lip serving as a drip holder. On the internal cylindrical surface of the pouring body there are radial ribs, their upper ends are connected to the guarding shield, and between the ribs and the pouring-out edge there is a concentric opening, connected to slots, formed between the radial ribs.
In the pouring body is installed a profiled sealing body, consisting of a peripheral cylindrical part, closely fitted to the lower part of the pouring body, and a neck-shaped part , tightly fitted to the bottle mouth, with a front sealing ring between them.
In another preferred embodiment for the purpose of achieving greater stability of the neck-shaped part, two strengthening radial ribs are set on the lower end of its internal walls.
A valve with a hollow cylindrical body, solid upper base and open bottom base is axially installed within the pouring body. The valve is placed inside the profiled sealing body and is mounted on a guide, and the external walls of the valve contact with the external surface of the radial ribs of the pouring body. The valve may be designed as a hollow tube, without solid bases.
The guide is a cylindrical body with holes and is concentrically set within the profiled sealing body. In one preferred embodiment, the guide is made of profiled ribs, located radially on the upper base and parallel along the cylindrical surface of the guide, so that holes are shaped between the ribs.
In another preferred embodiment the guide is a thin-walled cylindrical body, with holes on the walls.
The advantages of this invention are in the simplified construction of the valve and extremely secure closing. The guide makes the axial displacement of the valve impossible, which on its part prevents pouring liquids into the bottle. Besides, this valve ensures larger with the surface in closed position. The separate segments, acting as a protecting elements, have an extremely simplified construction, because the complex teeth on the surface are eliminated and the breaking of the weakening line is realized because of the wedging between the segments and the cuts.

ΦI IΓ. 5 - vertical section of the closure in open position of the valve DESCRIPTIONS OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The safety closure for bottles with a securing valve, shown on fig.1. consists of a cylindrical flange 1 , ribbed from inside, and a plug 6, including external cap 14 and a bush 16. The external cap 14 and the bush 16 are interconnected in such a way that after opening the plug, they stay incorporated in a single piece. The cylindrical flange 1 and the bush 16 are attached to each other by means of a weakening line 3.
Between the cylindrical flange 1 and the plug 6 there is a protecting element, composed of separate segments 2, each of them connected by means of a weakening line 4 to the external cap 14. Each segment 2 is inserted in a cut 5, formed in the upper part of the periphery of the cylindrical flange 1. The projections of the external back wall of the segment 2 and the internal front wall of the cut 5 are equally distanced arcs, fitting to each other. In this preferred embodiment there are four segments 2, the front side of each having a rectangular shape. When turning the plug 6 to open' the bottle, as a result of the wedging between the segments 2 and the cuts 5, the weakening line 4 is torn apart, the segments 2 disengage from the plug 6, the cuts 5 get uncovered and reveal on each cut 5 a one letter symbol, in the following order - "U", "S", Ε" and "D", signaling, that the bottle has already been open.
In the plug 6 a hollow pouring body 15 is installed, attached by a screw coupling 23 to the bush 16, and the pouring body 15 is immovably fixed to the cylindrical flange 1 by means of a profiled sealing body 20. On the upper part the pouring body 15 there are a guarding shield 10 and a pouring-out edge 13 with annular lip, functioning as a drip holder. On the inner cylindrical surface of the pouring body 15 there are radial ribs 11 , shown of fig. 2, whose upper ends are connected to the guarding shield 10 and between the internal walls 28 of the guarding shield 10 and the pouring-out edge 13 there is a concentric opening 12, connected with the slots 9, formed between radial ribs 11.
The profiled sealing 20 consists of a peripheral cylindrical part 18, fit tightly to the lower part of the pouring body 15, a neck-shaped part 21 , inserted closely into in the bottle mouth, with a front sealing ring 25 between them. In one preferred embodiment there are two mutually perpendicular radial ribs 27 in the area of the lower internal side of the neck-shaped part 21.
Inside the pouring body 15 a valve 8 (fig.3) is axially installed. The valve 8 is a hollow cylindrical body with a solid upper base and opened bottom base and is installed on a cylindrical guide 26 with holes 7, concentrically fitted within the profiled sealing body 20 and being a part of it. The- external cylindrical surface of valve 8 lies on the external surface of- the radial ribs 11 of the pouring body 15. Guide 26 is made of profiled ribs 17, positioned radially on the upper base and continuing parallel down to the cylindrical surface of the guide 26, shown on fig. 4, so that holes 7 are formed between the ribs.
In another preferred embodiment the valve 8 can be a hollow cylindrical body opened at both ends.
In another preferred embodiment the guide 26 can be a thin-walled cylinder with holes 7 on the walls.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The safety closure for bottles with a securing valve is statically fixed to the bottle full with liquid, the cylindrical flange 1 is pulled over the bottle mouth and the neck-shaped part 21 of the profiled sealing body 20 is tightly inserted into of the bottle mouth, so that the front sealing ring 25 fits firmly to the edge of the bottle mouth. When the external cap 14 is rotated, the bush 16 is wedged to it, so that both elements form together the plug 6, which, after being opened, tears apart the weakening line 4 on the segments 2 and the plug disengages from the cylindrical flange 1 and reveals the pouring body 15 above the bottle mouth.
When inclining the bottle mouth downward, the liquid penetrates into the neck-shaped part 21 , passing through the holes 7, and exerts pressure on the inner surface of the valve 8, which moves upwards, sliding along the radial ribs 11 of the pouring body 15. The inner surface of the valve 8 is axially following the profiled ribs 17 of the profiled sealing body 20, until the valve 8 fits within the internal cylindrical walls 28 of the guarding shield 10. When the valve 8 moves up, the holes 7 are wide-open, so that the liquid goes through them and proceeds through slots 9 to the concentric opening 12 out of the bottle, and flows out from pouring-out edge 13.
When the bottle mouth is in upright position, the valve 8 is in a closed position, holes 7 of guide 26 are completely closed, making impossible the passage of liquid through them.
