Abstract

The invention relates to an information terminal consisting of at least one base housing, one screen and one input and/or output device. The inventive information terminal is mounted on a base plate to which an impact-protecting element vertically surrounding the side wall and rear wall areas of the base housing is fixable, thereby making it possible to largely protect said base housing against mechanical damages.
