BIDET ADD - ON TO A TOILET BOWL

Technical problem :
This invention could solve the following technical problem: How to construct a sanitary equipment , with all the neccesary technical and functional characteristic a modern bidet is expected to have, and which can be easily installed on the allready existing wc bowl
Present state of technics:
We have conducted a search in the Deparment for intelectual property's documentation fund, especially searchnig trough literature concerning this field, and we could not find solution, that is similar to our solution of the technical problem we presented. Here are some achievements presented some achievments, that are trying to solve a similar problem: • In the patent application form marked as LNP- 1217/81, following solution is described: : "Combined bidet bowl with double cover" - to be used as a toilet and a bidet. • Patent application form LNP -1215/82 solution : "Closet-bidet" - it is a toilet bowl with a built in water vessel and a toilet paper holder., on which water vessel gets filled by lifting a cover, and flushing is activated by pulling a cover down. • Patent application form LNP-438/97, "Sanitary device with multiple functionality" parts for bidet, boiler and warm-air dryer are installed in toilet bowl. • EP 1387015A1( patent application form ) « Bidet add on to a toilet bowl «, similar technical problem was solved by a complex system of mechanisms and levers used for circulation of water on and around seat. • US P485337s (patent aplication form from 20.3.2003) "Combination of the toilet seat and bidet set" - the double function of the equipment was solved by building in a water outlet over the jets installed in the toilet bowl.
Solutions showed above, with all theirtechnical and/or estetical disadvantages and complex constructions have flaws -they require changes in the construction and WC bowl upgrades. Solution presented here represent a unique bidet add-on placed on a already existing WC bowl.
Explaining the project:
The invention is related to a add-on bidet, placed and fixated on already existing toilet bowl,thus enabling double functionality of the toilet bowl. Bidet consists of a seat and a small bathtub in which all the necessary elements (connected by their construction) enable proper and satisfactory functioning of the whole assembly. The invention can be modified on two different models, depending on the geographical area,in which it will be used: • In tropical areas, for instance, there is no need to heat the water in boilers, so it is neccesary to regulate the water's temperature by using addaptors that mix cold and hot water. • In areas with continental climate, it is a custom to heat water in boilers, so for the proper use, temperature of water should be regulated by adaptors for mixing cold and hot water. • Third way of modification is used if the sanitary facilities do not have boilers for hot water, by placing a continiously flowing boiler. On the allredy existing pipes for cold water, Water temperature and its flowing power are regulated by one arm tap. Designed this way, the construction does not have valve or mixing device and the water flows trough a hose( ove one arm-tap) into a main valve . On this way of designing, there is no valve or mixing device, so water is entering the main valve through a hosing, over 1 arm tap, into a main valve.
The main valve (3) is placed on the backside of the bidet's bathtub and it has a cold water pipe built in or a mixing heasd that maintains the exact mixture of hot and cold water we want. The main valve(3) is rotatable around the hollow axis which is tightened to the left (19)and to the right carrier(20). The left carrier has a toothlike segment on which a proper toothlike carrier is inserted ( This carrier is adjustable to achieve the right angle and tightened bz the screw) This toothlike carrier allows the bidet to adjusted vertically under the angle from 80 to 110 . Hollow axis has many openings in the middle and they allow incoming water to be transported over the inputs to the mixing head,only when the bathtub is down. A backside ajustable pipe is placed on the upper backside and it lets water come out horisontally; and the frontal adjustable is built in on the slanting side of the front part and it is connected to the switcher which redirects water to the frontal on the backside adjustable pipe. Entire structure of the bidet together with a seat is screwed to the toilet bowl by its left and right carrier, thus enabling its rotation into the upper-vetical position.

Description of the invention (in details) : Bidet add on consists of a seat (14), with bathtub(4) leaninig on it and all necessary constructional and functional elements. Main valve (3) is installed on backside of bathtub(4),and it has a cold water pipe (6) installed on it, or , by the second way of making, a mixing device (7) that maintains a proper mixture of hot and cold water.. Main valve(3) has double purpose - it is a carrier ofmixing device and a rotation valve which opens and closes water inlet (depending if bidet is closed or not). When the bidet is lifted up, water inlet is closed ,and toilet bowl has its normal function. Main valve 3 is rotatable around a hollow axis(5) fixated on the left carrier (19) and right carrier (20). A toothlike segment exists on a left carrier (19) and also a toothlike carrier (18) is tightened to the segment and used to fixate bidet i vertical position. (at the angle from 80 to 110 ). Adjusted position is fixated by a screw (21). There is a spheric opening on a toothlike carrier(18) and into this opening a stopper(16) is inserted,and this stopper is pressed by a spring(17). The stopper(lό) and the spring are placed on the upper part of main valve (3). The hollow axis (5), has two intake spots for hot and cold water at both ends and it has holes in the middle of both sides,that make the regulation of water flow possible depending on the position of the bidet(vertically lifted or not). Axis (5) is drilled at its full length therefore allowing the incoming of hot water from the both sides( left and right). The opening of one side closes the opposite side.The axis(5) is drilled at both sides from the drain of hot and cold water to the mixing head (7) thus enabling the incoming of cold and hot water trough a lateral openings (when bidet is down). By switching the main valve(3) water doesn't enter the mixing head (7) or the pipe (6)-bidet is in lifted position. Bathtub has a horizontal adjustable pipe (9) on its upper backside, and a slant adjustable pipe (9) on its frontal side (which is connected with the swicther (13) that allows the water to be redirected to the frontal adjustable pipe (9)) and it is connected over a hose (12) to the adjustable pipe (9) on backside and also by a hole (15) to switcher(13) . Hose (8) with a connecting device makes the supply of water from the plumbing system possible. The water flow into a frontal and backside adjustable pipe (9) can be activated and stopped indipendently. There is a drain(l 1) near the bottom of the bathtub's back side(4) and also an overflowing drain (10). Under the adjustable pipe(9) on the backside of the bathtub(4). The structure(bidet with a seat (14) is connected to a toilet bowl with a Ieft(19) and a right carrier (20) and connected by a screw (2) and connection was made over the axis (5). Add on construction consists of a seat (14), a bathtub ( with all its constructive elements) placed above it and a hose (8) connected to the water tap on a sink. The seat and the seat cover of the existing toilet bowl must be removed before the placing of the bidet structure begins.Two screws (2) are inserted into allready existing holes and they are connected to the seat and the add-on bidet over the left (19) and the right carrier(20); The screws (2) can be adjusted according to the distance between holes of the existing toilet bowl. When the bidet is lifted in vertical position the seat(14) stays in the horizontal position, and the toilet seat resumes its normal function,because horisontal position of the bidet doesn't allow water to flow into the bathtub(4).
The horisontal position of the bidet (when it is leaning on a toilet bowl) enebles its function. A valve (6) is regulating the income of cold water,and by the second way of construction, the income of hot and cold water is regulated by a mechanical head (7). Water that supplies the bidet flows over the connections into the bottomless axis (5) and then enters the mechanical head (7) through a main valve (3), or it goes into a valve(6) and from there into a switcher(13) which redirects water to the frontal slanting and the horizontal adjustable pipe on the backside(9). Activating and stopping water flowing into the adjustable pippes(9) can be done indipendently.Main valve (3) functions are: to be a main carrier for the mixing head (7) and to be a rotatable valve that allows water to flow or not depending on the position of the bidet structure.Mechanism that allows the bidet to be fixated in wanted position keeps the bidet in the vertical position and adjusts it ti the angle between 80 and 110° depending on the distance between toilet bowl and the wall of the sanitary room, toilet bowl and hosing of the water-vessel placed high or toilet bowl and water vessel placed low. A toothlike carrier (18) is used to adjust the bidet into a lifte dposition and it has a partly spheric openeing in which a tightener is inserted ( it is a stopper (16) pressed by a spring (17)). The adjusting can be done by pulling out toothlike carrier(18) from the toothlike segment of the left carrier(19)and turning it into wanted position which is fixated by a screw (21). When the bidet is in vertical position, the toilet bowl has its normal function, because water do not flow into the bathtub (4). According to the 3rd way of making, add-on bidet can be placed on a toilet bowl which is possible to achieve by installing a continiuosly flowing boiler on a cold water pipe and regulating the income of eater of wanted temperature by one armed tap (22). Made this way, bidet doesn't have a pipe (6) or a mixing head (7) and water is transported into a main valve (3) by a hose (8), directly from one armed tap (22). Add -on bidet can be placed on a toilet bowl (which is installed in sanitary room that doesn't have a boiler or incoming hot water) by building in a countiniously flowing boiler on a cold water pipe and incoming of water of wanted temperature is made possible by one armed mixing tap. A standard bidet is part of those sanitary rooms that have enough space and it is installed during the building of the object, because it requires a separate drain for waste water. Add-on bidet for a toilet bowl has a following advantages; Bidet and the toilet bowl both use the same drain for waste -water therefore increasing the comfort of existing sanitary rooms, significant space savings are achieved for new objects and decrease of investment costs.
Add on bidet for an existing toilet bowl is made to be used in households,hotels,hospitals, trailers, jachts and similiar objects.
