A cap assembly having a storage chamber for a secondary material includes a main body for detachably fixing on a neck portion of a container, an outer cap detachably coupled to the main body, a spout member inserted in the main body, and an inner cap coupled in the neck portion, the inner cap defining a storage space for the secondary material and being designed to be opened when the spout member moves upward.

Description

TITLE STRUCTURE OF CAP HAVING INNER CAP
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a cap assembly with an inner cap,
and more particularly, to a cap assembly with a storage chamber for
secondary material that will be mixed with primary material contained in a
container associated with the cap by simply opening the cap.
BACKGROUND ART
In a variety of industrial field, it is sometimes necessary to mix two or
more different materials with each other to prepare a mixture, prior to using
the mixture. For example, when it comes to beverage industrial field, users wish to
add a variety of flavors or vitamin to the water. To this end, the user
purchases the flavor or vitamin and the separated bottle water and mixes the
flavor or the vitamin with the bottle water. However, it is very troublesome for
the user to do so.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the above-described problems of the conventional art.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a cap with a storage
chamber for a secondary material that will be mixed with a primary material
contained in a container associated with the cap by simply opening the cap. It is another object of the present invention to provide a product
employing such a cap with a storage chamber for a secondary material.
To achieve the above objects, the present invention provides a cap
assembly having a storage chamber for a secondary material includes a main
body for detachably fixing on a neck portion of a container, the main body
having a storage tube defining the storage chamber, an inner cap for tightly
fixing between the storage tube and the neck portion of the container, and a
seal member for inserting into a lower portion of the storage tube and
separating from the storage tube to releasing the secondary material into the
container.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described
more in detail hereinafter in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Wherever possible, the same reference numerals will be used throughout the
drawings to refer to the same or like parts.
FIGS. 1 and 2 are sectional views of a cap assembly with an inner cap
according to an embodiment of the present invention. A cap assembly 1
includes a main body 10 detachably coupled to a neck portion 101 of a
container 100, a spout member 20 movably coupled in the main body 10, an
outer cap detachably coupled to an outer portion of the main body 10, and an
inner cap 20 disposed in the outer cap 30. A character 50 may be coupled on the outer cap 30.
The main body 10 is provided with a spout portion 11 extending upward
and a screw portion 12 screw-coupled to the neck portion of the container. The main body 10 is further provided with a storage tube 13 having an opened
lower end and extending downward.
The spout member 20 is provided with a hook step 21 that is hooked
on a lower end of the spout portion 11. The spout member 20 is further
provided with a seal portion 22 formed under the hook step 21. The seal
operating portion 22 is provided with a plurality of the material leasing holes
23. The spout member 20 is further provided with a hook portion 24 that is
hooked on the outer cap 30.
The outer cap 30 is provided with a character coupling portion 31 on
which the character 50 is coupled.
The secondary material is stored in the spout member 20.
The inner cap is provided with a seal projection 41 , defining a storage
space 42 storing the secondary material. The inner cap 40 is provided with a
seal portion 43 for sealing a lower portion of the storage tube 13. The seal
operating portion 22 is provided at a center with an opening 44 that is opened
by the seal portion 43.
When the outer cap 30 moves upward, the spout member 20 moves
upward and the seal portion 43 of the inner cap 40 moves away from the
opening 44, thereby releasing the secondary material through the opening 44. The spout member 20 moved upward together with the outer cap 30 is
separated from the outer cap 30 when the outer cap 30 is separated from the
spout portion 11 of the main body 10. At this same time, the hook step 21 of the spout member 20 is hooked on the lower portion of the spout portion 11 ,
thereby not moving upward any more.
The mixed material can be exhausted through the spout member 20
moved upward via the opening 44 and the spout portion 23. FIGS. 3 through 8 shows a second embodiment of the present
invention.
A packing member 60 is inserted around an opening 44 formed on a
lower portion of the inner cap 40. A seal surface 25 formed on a spout
member 20 closely contact on the packing member 60 to prevent the
secondary material stored in the storage space 42 from inadvertently
releasing.
A press seal portion 45 is formed on an upper portion of the inner cap
to realize a seal by tightly contacting between a bottom of the main body 10
and the upper end of the neck portion. A projection 46 is formed on an upper
end of the inner cap 40.
The spout member 20 is provided with an air injection groove 26
allowing air to be introduced into the container when the content is released
from the container.
The secondary material may be stored in the spout member 20. FIG. 5 shows a modified example of the packing member.
The packing member 60 is disposed to fully cover the opening 44 and
is provided with an insertion portion 61 detachably inserted on the opening 44. Accordingly, when the outer cap 30 is separated from the spout portion
11 and the air is sucked through the spout member 20, the packing member
60 is separated from the opening 44 to open the opening 44.
FIG. 6 shows another modified example of the packing member. The packing member 60 is sealed on the opening 44 and is provided
with an insertion portion 62 that is to be inserted in a seal surface 25 of the
spout member 20.
FIG. 7 shows a modified example of the spout member 20. A seal
operating portion 22 formed on a bottom of the spout member 20 is tightly
inserted in a ring-shaped packing member 60 and an opening 44.
FIG. 8 shows a modified example of the spout member 20. A seal
surface formed on the bottom of the spout member 20 is bent upward.
Therefore, the edge of the seal surface 25 is tightly pressed on the
packing member 60 seated on the opening 44 to seal the storage space 42.
When the outer cap 30 and the spout member 20 move upward, the seal
surface 25 is separated from the packing member 60 to open the opening 44.
FIGS. 9 through 13 show a cap assembly according to another
embodiment of the present invention.
In this embodiment, the secondary material is stored in the inner cap
40 as well as in the spout member 20, thereby increasing the storing amount
of the secondary material A. That is, as shown in FIG. 9, the storage spaces 42 and 27 are defined
by the inner cap 40 and the spout member 20. The spout member 20 is
provided with a spout hole 23 and a communicating hole 28 to communicate
with the storage space 42 defined by the spout member 20. The packing member 60 is inserted on an outer surface of the seal
operating portion 222 formed extending downward from the spout member 20.
The packing member 60 tightly contacts on the opening 44 of the packing
member.
As shown in FIG. 10, the main body 10 is provided with a seal step 14
tightly contacting a seal projection 32 formed on the outer cap 30.
A seal projection 141a is formed on the cap main body to tightly contact
the inner cap 40.
As shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, a packing member 61 is inserted around
the spout member 20 and the main body 10 to tightly contact the surface of
the spout portion 11.
A packing member is inserted around the seal step 14 to tightly contact
the bottom of the seal portion 11. An elastic seal portion 47 is formed on an
inner portion of the opening 44.
An outer portion of the neck portion 101 of the container 100 tightly
contacts an inner seal surface 15 formed on the screw portion 12 of the main
body 10.
FIGS. 14 and 15 show another embodiment of the present invention. A main body 10 of the cap assembly is coupled to the neck portion 101
of the container 100 and a spout member 20 is inserted in a spout portion 11
of the main body 10. An outer cap 30 is coupled to an outer portion of the
spout member 20. An inner cap 40 is coupled on the neck portion 101 and the main body
10.
A storage tube 13 is formed extending from the main body 10 to store
the secondary material.
The spout member 20 is detachably coupled to an inner portion of the
outer cap 30 and a plurality of spout holes 23 are provided on the spout
member 20. The spout member 20 is further provided with a hook step 21
hooked on the spout portion 11.
A hook portion 24 is formed on an outer surface of the spout member
20 to be hooked on an inner surface of the outer cap 30. A press seal portion 45 formed on an upper end of the inner cap 40
tightly contacts the bottom of the main body 10. The inner cap 40 is provided
with a seal projection 41 tightly contacting an inner surface of the neck portion
101.
The inner cap 40 is provided with an opening 44 that is sealed by a
seal member 140.
A character 50 may be coupled on the outer cap 30. FIG. 15 shows a modified example of the inner cap of this embodiment.
An opening 44 formed on the inner cap 40 extends downward by an
extending portion 150.
A seal surface 25 formed on the spout member 20 tightly contacts the
opening 44.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
As described above, the present invention is directed to a cap that
can be associated with a container to apply a second material contained
therein to the primary material contained in the container pouch container
through a simple operation. Therefore, the present invention can be applied
to a variety of industrial field such as a beverage industrial field and other
chemical field where it is required to provide an instant mixture.

Claims

1. A cap assembly having a storage chamber for a secondary
material, comprising: a main body for detachably fixing on a neck portion of a container; ' an outer cap detachably coupled to the main body; a spout member inserted in the main body; and an inner cap coupled in the neck portion, the inner cap defining a
storage space for the secondary material and being designed to be opened
when the spout member moves upward.
2. The cap assembly of claim 1 , wherein the inner cap is
provided with a seal portion having an opening in which a seal operating
portion is tightly inserted.
3. The cap assembly of any one of claim 1 , wherein the main
body is provided with storage tube extending downward.
4. The cap assembly of claim 1 , wherein the spout member is
provided with a plurality of spout portions for releasing the secondary
material.
5. The cap assembly of claim 1, wherein the spout member is provided with a hook step so as not to move upward above a prederrermined
height.
6. The cap assembly of claim 1 , wherein the spout member is
provided with a hook portion that is hooked on the outer cap.
7. The cap assembly of claim 1 , wherein the outer cap is
provided with a character coupling portion on which a character can be
coupled.
8. The cap assembly of claim 1 , wherein a packing member is
provided on the opening of the inner cap and a seal surface of the spout
member tightly contacts the packing member.
9. The cap assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the inner cap
is provided with a press seal portion tightly contacting the bottom of the main
body and the upper end of the neck portion of the container.
10. The cap assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the inner cap
is provided with a projection contacting a bottom of the main body.
11. The cap assembly according to claim 10, wherein the projection is pointed.
12. The cap assembly according to any one of claims 1 and 8,
wherein the spout member is provided with an air injection groove.
13. The cap assembly according to claim 8, wherein the packing
member is formed in a ring-shape.
14. The cap assembly according to any one of claims 2 and 8,
wherein the packing member is provided with an insertion portion inserted in
the opening.
15. The cap assembly according to any one of claims 2 and 8,
wherein the packing member is disposed to close the opening and provided
with an insertion portion inserted in a seal surface of the spout member.
16. The cap assembly according to any one of claims 2 and 8,
wherein the spout member is provided with a seal operating portion that is
inserted in the packing member disposed on the opening.
17. The cap assembly of claim 8, wherein the seal surface is bent
upward.
18. A cap assembly having a storage chamber for a secondary
material, comprising: a main body for detachably fixing on a neck portion of a container; an outer cap detachably coupled to the main body; a spout member inserted in the main body, the spout member defining
a space for storing the secondary material; and an inner cap coupled in the neck portion, the inner cap defining a
storage space for the secondary material and being designed to be opened
when the spout member moves upward.
19. The cap assembly of claim 18, wherein the spout member is
provided with a spout hole and a communication hole.
21. The cap assembly according to claim 18, wherein the spout
member is provided with a seal operating portion and a seal member is
inserted around the seal operating portion.
22. The cap assembly of claim 1 , wherein the spout portion of the
main body is provided with a seal member contacting the outer surface of the
outer cap.
23. The cap assembly according to claim 18, wherein the spout
portion of the main body is provided with a seal step.
24. The cap assembly according to claim 23, wherein a seal
member is inserted around the seal step.
25. The cap assembly according to claim 18, wherein the opening
of the inner cap is provided with an elastic seal portion.
26. The cap assembly according to claim 18, wherein the main
body is provided with an inner seal surface on which a top surface of the neck
portion closely contacts.
27. A cap assembly comprising: a main body coupled to a neck portion of a container and provided
with a spout portion and a storage tube; a spout member movably inserted into the spout portion and provided
with a plurality of spout holes; an outer cap movably coupled to the spout portion and detachably
coupled to the spout member; an inner cap coupled between the main body and the container and
provided with a storage space and an opening through which the secondary material can be selectively released.
28. The cap assembly according to claim 27, wherein the inner
cap includes a seal member attached on an inner-upper surface.
29. The cap assembly according to claim 27, wherein the inner
cap has a seal projection closely contacting the neck portion of the container.
30. The cap assembly of claim 27, wherein the outer cap is
designed to be coupled to an character.
31. The cap assembly according to claim 27, wherein the opening
of the inner cap includes an extending portion extending downward and a seal
surface formed on the lower portion of the spout member removably inserted
into the opening.
