Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour effectuer le suivi de l'emplacement d'un téléphone cellulaire par rapport à une zone géographique prédéfinie, avec report automatique des franchissements de limites. Si le téléphone cellulaire est porté par une personne, l'invention peut être utilisée pour effectuer le suivi de l'ampleur des mouvements de la personne portant le téléphone cellulaire. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: identification sélective d'une zone géographique prédéfinie; suivi de l'emplacement d'un téléphone cellulaire équipé de l'identification d'emplacement automatique (automatic location identification / ALI); et détermination automatique de si les limites de la zone géographique ont été franchies. Notamment, l'étape de détermination de si les limites de la zone géographique ont été franchies, peut comprendre la détermination automatique de si l'emplacement du téléphone cellulaire se trouve dans la zone géographique prédéfinie. Cette étape peut s'effectuer par un serveur à distance ou un téléphone cellulaire.
