Abstract

The invention relates to a stand (10) for steadily anchoring a rod-shaped object, particularly a tree, Christmas tree or the like, comprising a base area (12) and a receiving area (14) situated therein for receiving a lower section of the object to be anchored, and comprising at least three retaining element (16). These retaining elements are concentrically arranged around the receiving area (14), can each pivot about a horizontal axis (20) within a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tree, and can be clamped against the trunk section by means of a single tensioning means provided in the retaining elements (16) while being actively connected to a tightening device (32). The invention provides that the receiving area (14) and the base area (12) are provided together as a single piece.
