PROTECTION COVEROF SLIDE TYPE CELLULARPHONE
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone, which is fixed to a main body of the cellular phone and an outer side of a display portion, protects the cellular phone from external impact by injection molding to have elasticity, and enables use of a functional button and a charging port without any interference. More particularly, the present invention relates to a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone, in which the cellular phone is protected from external impact by the protection cover fixed to the main body and the display portion, increases esthetic appearance, maintains mechanical strength by injection molding for semipermanent use.
BACKGROUND ART Generally, a protection cover of a cellular phone is designed by leather, synthetic resin, or artificial leather having pinch strength to form a predetermined shape. The protection cover protects the c ellular phone provided inside the protection cover from damage such as scratch generated by contact friction between a surface of the cellular phone and other objects. Also, the protection cover prevents the cellular phone from being damaged by external impact and enhances esthetic appearance of the cellular phone if it functions as an accessory.
Meanwhile, the cellular phone includes a main body having button portion and is divided into a folder t ype, a flip type, and a s lide type depending on opening and closure of a display portion fixed to the main body by a hinge unit to open and close. As shown in FIG. 1, a protection cover of a general folder type cellular phone includes a lower cover 3 fixed to a main body 2 having a button portion 1 and provided with a transparent inner side, and an upper cover 6 fixed to a cover 5 having a display portion 5 and provided with a transparent inner side. In this case, the lower cover 3 and the upper cover 6 may be provided in a single body. Alternatively, after they are separately provided, they are fixed to each other by a clamp means (not shown). The protection cover has several problems. It is likely that the transparent inner sides may be contaminated by sweat from hand of a user during long use of the cellular phone. If dust or the like is stuck on the cover, it is difficult for the user to recognize the display portion 4 and the button portion 1. Particularly, this may cause inconvenience to a user having poor eyesight. Further, if the cellular phone is fallen by an oversight in a state that the protection cover is fixed to the cellular phone, the cellular phone may be damaged because of weak cushion force of the lower and upper covers 3 and 6. Therefore, a problem occurs in that corresponding parts of the cellular phone should be repaired or the cellular phone should be exchanged with new one. Moreover, if the protection cover is used for a long time, elasticity of a member fixed to the inner side of the protection cover is reduced so that the protection cover
may be loosened on the cellular phone. In this case, since the function of the cover is lost to reduce use span, the cover should be exchanged with a new one after the lapse of a predetermined time. Meanwhile, since the cellular phone is slid to the corresponding parts to close or open in a state that the display portion or the main body is tightly fixed to the protection cover, the folder type or flip type protection c over fails to be fixed to the slide type cellular phone. At this time, if the protection cover is fixed to the display portion or the main body of the slide type cellular phone using glue, it should forcibly be detached from the cellular phone to exchange batteries with new ones or repair inner parts. In this case, a problem occurs in that the protection cover cannot be used again after exchange or repair.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone that substantially obviates one or more of the problems due to limitations and disadvantages of the related art. An object of the present invention is to provide a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone, which is fixed to a main body of the cellular phone and an outer side of a display portion to protect the cellular phone from external impact. Another object of the present invention is to provide a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone, which maintains mechanical strength and is detached from the cellular phone to enable washing if its surface is contaminated, thereby enabling semipermanent use of the protection cover.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone in which a display portion, a charging port, and a functional button formed at a side of a main body of the cellular phone are used without any interference to give convenience to a user in a state that the protection cover is fixed to the cellular phone. Another object of the present invention is to provide a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone in which an outer side of the protection cover is colored to match color of the cellular phone, thereby increasing esthetic appearance.
TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS To achieve these and other advantages and in accordance with the purpose of the p resent i nvention, a s e mbodied a nd b roadly described, i n a p rotection c over o f a slide type cellular phone, the cellular phone including a main body having a button portion, and a cover slid to the main body to open or close, having a display portion, the protection cover includes a lower cover detachably fixed to the main body, and an upper cover detachably fixed to the cover by a protrusion fixed to a groove formed at the end of the cover. In another aspect, in a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone, the cellular phone including a main body having a button portion, and a cover slid to the main body to open or close, having a display portion, the protection cover includes a lower cover detachably fixed to the main body, having a guide groove formed to oppose
an upper surface of left and right sides, and an upper cover detachably fixed to the cover and slid along the guide groove of the lower cover, having a protrusion formed at the bottom and fitted into the guide groove. Preferably, the lower cover includes a through groove corresponding to a charging p ort o f t he m ain b ody, a nd a t hrough groove c orresponding t o a functional button protruded at a side of the main body, and the upper cover includes a cut portion corresponding to the display portion.
APPLICABLE ADVANTAGES The protection cover of the slide type cellular phone according to the present invention has the following advantages. First, since the protection cover formed by injection molding is fixed to the main body of the cellular phone and the outer side of the display portion, the cellular phone can b e p rotected from external i mpact w ithout d amage even i n case t hat t he c ellular phone is fallen by an oversight. Second, the protection cover maintains mechanical strength and is detached from the cellular phone to enable washing if its surface is contaminated. Therefore, the protection cover can be used semi-permanently to increase its use span. Third, the display portion, the charging port, and the functional button formed at the side of the main body of the cellular phone can be used without any interference to give convenience to the user.
Finally, since the outer side of the protection cover is colored to match color of the cellular phone, esthetic appearance of the cellular phone can be increased to improve competitiveness of the product.
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. As shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 4, a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone according to the first embodiment of the present invention includes a main body 2 having a button portion 1, and a cover 5 slid to the main body 2 to open or close, having a display portion 4. Since the main body and the cover are generally used in the related art, their detailed description will be omitted. The protection cover of the slide type cellular phone according to the first embodiment of the present invention includes a lower cover 10 detachably fixed to the main body 2, and an upper cover 13 detachably fixed to the cover 5 by a protrusion 12 fixed to a groove 11 formed at the end of the cover 5. The lower cover 10 includes a through groove 15 corresponding to a charging port 14 of the main body 2, and a through groove 17 corresponding to a functional button 16 protruded at a side of the main body 2. The upper cover 13 includes a cut portion 18 corresponding to the display portion 4. The lower cover 10 and the upper cover 13 are formed by injection molding.
Hereinafter, an example of the protection cover of the slide type cellular phone according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. As shown in FIG. 4, the lower cover 10 is fixed to a lower portion of the main body 2 and the upper cover 13 is detachably fixed to an upper portion of the cover 5 slidably fixed to the main body 2. The protrusion 12 formed to oppose the bottom of the upper cover 13 is forcibly fitted into the groove 11 formed at the end of the bottom of the cover 5. If the cover 5 is slid to the main body 2 to open or close the cellular phone, the cover 5 fixed to the upper cover 13 is slid to the main body 2 fixed to the lower cover 10. At this time, the through groove 15 is formed at the lower cover 10 to correspond to the charging port 14 formed at the lower end of the main body 2. The through groove 17 is formed at the lower cover 10 to correspond to the functional button 16 formed at the side of the main body 2. The cut portion 18 is formed at the upper cover 13 to correspond to the display portion 4 of the cover 5. In this case, the cellular phone is used without any interference in a state that the lower cover 10 and the upper cover 13 are fixed to the main body 2 and the cover 5. Furthermore, if outer sides of the lower and upper covers 10 and 13 are colored to match color of the cellular phone, esthetic appearance of the cellular phone is increased to emphasize individuality of a user, thereby obtaining competitiveness.
Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, a protection cover of a slide type cellular phone according to the second embodiment of the present invention includes a main body 2 having a button portion 1 , and a cover 5 slid to the main body 2 to open or close, having a display portion 4. The protection cover of the slide type cellular phone according to the second embodiment of the present invention includes a lower cover 10 detachably fixed to the main body 2 and provided with a guide groove 20 protruded to oppose an upper surface at left and right sides, and an upper cover 13 detachably fixed to the cover 5 and slid along the guide groove 20 of the lower cover 10, having a protrusion 21 formed at the bottom and slidably fitted into the guide groove 20. At this time, the lower cover 10 and the upper cover 13 are formed by injection molding. A guide groove (not shown) is recessed at the upper surface of left and right sides of the lower cover 10. The protrusion 21 corresponding to the guide groove 20 is formed at the bottom of the upper cover 13. The guide groove 20 has an opening portion formed toward the inner side (opposite to the groove shown in FIG. 5). After the lower cover 10 is fixed to the lower portion of the main body 2, the upper cover 13 is fixed to an upper portion of the cover 5 slidably fixed to the main body 2. The protrusion 21 formed at the bottom of the upper cover 13 is forcibly fitted into the guide groove 20 formed to oppose the upper surface of left and right sides of the lower cover 10. Therefore, if the cover 5 is slid to the main body 2 to open or close the cellular
phone, the protrusion 21 of the upper cover 13 fixed to the cover 5 is slid along the guide groove 20 of the lower cover 10 fixed to the main body 2. At this time, the cellular phone can be protected by the lower cover 10 and the upper cover 13 even if the cellular phone may be fallen by an oversight. As described above, the protection cover of the slide type cellular phone according to the present invention has the following advantages. Since the protection cover formed by injection molding is fixed to the main body of the cellular phone and the outer side of the display portion, the cellular phone can be protected from external impact without damage even in case that the cellular phone is fallen by an oversight. Further, the protection cover maintains mechanical strength and is detached from the cellular phone to enable washing if its surface is contaminated. Therefore, the protection cover can be used semi-permanently to increase its use span. Further, the display portion, the charging port, and the functional button formed at the side of the main body of the cellular phone can be used without any interference to give convenience to the user. Finally, since the outer side of the protection cover is colored to match color of the cellular phone, esthetic appearance of the cellular phone can be increased to improve competitiveness of the product. While the present invention has been described and illustrated herein with reference to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be apparent to those skilled in the
art that various modifications and variations can be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention covers the modifications and variations of this invention that come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
