Les diodes lumineuses (1) de couleurs différentes sont localisées spatialement de façon à former au moins un groupe, les diodes lumineuses (1) dans un ou plusieurs groupes étant disposées au moins à la périphérie d'un polygone ou d'un cercle. Le diffuseur (6) qui entoure au moins partiellement la zone de diffusion du rayonnement des diodes lumineuses (1) est constitué d'au moins deux parties, et la carte de circuit avec diodes lumineuses est disposée à l'intérieur du diffuseur. Dans un mode de réalisation, on a déterminé la durée du front de montée et de baisse de chaque impulsion d'alimentation, la durée de la période d'alimentation et la durée des pauses entre les périodes d'alimentation. L'invention vise à améliorer la perception esthétique, d'élargir la gamme d'effets lumineux et de simplifier l'utilisation du dispositif.
