Abstract

A house for animals, for instance cattle, provided with a sand or litter pack (2) in which urine can drain away and on which faeces can remain behind, wherein above the sand or litter pack (2) at least one automatically operating manure gripper (10) is provided which can be driven by a faeces detection system, the gripper (10) being provided with spacing means (11) which, during use, ensure that the gripper (10) is limited in gripping depth. The invention further provides a house for animals, wherein the house is provided with a sand or litter pack in which urine can drain away and on which faeces can remain behind, the house being provided with a drainage system for the discharge of urine, and with an automatically operating gripper for discharge of faeces lying on the sand or litter pack.
