[DESCRIPTION]
[Title of the Invention]
Envelope cup with a side handle
[Technical Field]
This invention is about the manufacturing of an envelope cup with a handle that projects from the side of the cup, making manufacturing and opening of the cup easier than other envelope cup inventions.
[Background of Art]
Preceding techniques about this invention are as followings :
Korean Utility Model Gazette 20-0305153 Korean Utility Model Gazette 2000-011327 Korean Utility Model Gazette 20-0302704 Korean Utility Model Gazette 1988-017368 Japanese Utility Model Gazette So 54- 129489 Japanese Utility Model Gazette Hei 6-013723 U.S. Patent 4,981,257 U.S. Patent 5,799,863 U.S. Patent 5,312,035 U.S. Patent 4,867,374 PCT/FR94/00884 PCT/DK93/00043
Among the techniques stated above, the technique associated with Korean Utility Model Gazette 20-0305153 is directly related with the technique of this invention. These two techniques, however, utilize
different methods for making the side handle, so the structure and the effect of the invention is different.
In the case of Korean Utility Model Gazette 20-0305153, one end of the paper is laid on top of the other end, and they are connected with a side junction to make a pullout handle. In the case of this patent application envelope cup invention, however, two inner ends of the paper are put together to compose a vertical junction(2). This vertical junction(2) projects from the side of the envelope to form a pullout handle.
In the case of Korean Utility Model Gazette 20-0305153, during the formation process, the paper is connected after cutting, and the pullout handle is made on one side. This can create manufacturing difficulties for the makers and usage difficulties for the users of this type of envelope cup. In the case of this patent application envelope cup invention, however, the paper can be used without cutting, so that the time spent to manufacture the product is the same as the existing procedure, enabling mass production. In addition, the pullout handle is thicker and stronger because of its formation in which inner ends of the paper are connected.
[Disclosure of the Invention]
[Description of the Prior Art]
This invention is about an envelope cup with a handle that projects from the side of the cup, making manufacturing and opening of the cup easier than other envelope cup inventions.
Envelope cups placed on the market are not easy to open because they do not have handle and stored as flattened position. Users often
put fingers into the envelope cup to open it, but this is unhealthy, especially using cup while working. While working, dusts on users' hand can be placed into the cup, so users might drink polluted water.
In the case of existing envelope cups — such as the invention with the wavy-shaped upper part or other pullout handle designs — users most often have to touch the lip or inside part of the cup in order to open the cup, which may contaminate the cup and contents (e.g., water) that are poured into the cup. This is especially a hazard in dusty work environments. In addition, existing envelope cup inventions have low economical efficiency because of the slow speed in which they are manufactured.
This patent application envelope cup invention seeks to minimize the chances of contaminating the inside part of the cup so that the contents poured into the cup are not contaminated , and also improve production efficiency compared with other existing envelope cup invent ions . In this invention , a thick and strong pullout handle is added to the envelope cup so that users can use both hands to open the envelope cup without having to touch the lip or inside of the cup while doing so . This should also help prevent the cup from becoming contaminated on the inside or lip with dust or other particles that may be on the user ' s fingers . In addition , due to its formation, this invention also allows for the acceleration of the production rate , which may increase production efficiency.

[Detailed Description of Preferred Embociment]
Figure 1 is one of the side views of the envelope cup with a side handle , based on this invention.
Like in figure 1, this envelope cup has a vertical junction (here, junction means the part where the two inner ends of the paper are put together to make an envelope cup) and side part(l), upper side(4) and the other upper side(5) with different height. It also has a projected vertical junction(2) in its side part(l) to form a pullout handle. The vertical junction(2) is turned down to one side while stored. It, however, can be pulled to form a pullout handle when opening.
In existing inventions, vertical junction(2) is the connecting part of one inner end of the paper and the other outer end of the paper. So, the handle cannot project from the side. However, this is not the case with this invention. Like in figure 1, the vertical junction(2) is made of the inner ends of the paper so that it can be projected to function as a handle. Specifically, one inner end of the paper and the other inner end of the paper is connected to form a vertical junction(2) and the vertical junction can be automatically projected if it is folded to be in the middle of the envelope cup (like in figure 1) during the manufacturing procedure. When users hold the envelope
cup with one hand and the vertical junction(2) with the other hand to open the cup, it can be easily opened without the need for users to put their fingers into the cup.
In this invention, the method of making a vertical junction with two inner ends of the paper requires the same amount of time as existing procedure to make the product and has high production efficiency, if the vertical junction(2) is folded to be in the middle of the envelope cup (like in figure 1), because the method of cutting the upper side(4) and the other upper side(5), and connecting the lower junction(3) is the same as existing procedure.
In another executing example of this invention, it is possible to make vertical junctions(2) in each side of the envelope cup so that a user can use both hands to open the cup easily.
Even though the executing example of this invention is already stated, this invention can be modified if the technicians in this field can clearly understand the contents of the modification and the modification is not contrary to the idea and scope of this invention. Explanations about the executing examples do not limit the invention but simply analyse it. But the range of this invention is limited to the requested range which is stated below.
[Effectiveness of the Invention]
By making the projected vertical junction as it does , this invention greatly reduces the uneasiness of opening an envelope cup due to the way in which envelope cups are stored . The vertical junction is folded to one side when stored but it can be pulled to function like a
pullout handle when in use . Users are able greatly reduce the chances of contaminating the water that is poured into the cup even- though their hands may be dirty because they can hold the envelope cup with one hand and the pullout handle with another hand to open- the cup and do not need to put their fingers into the cup , as users, usually need to do with existing envelope cups . This invention not- only improves the method of connecting the vertical junction to form- a strong pullout handle but also allows for the utilization of existing: instruments to make the product, facilitating manufacturing and increasing production rates . Therefore , the utility value of this invention is very high.
