Abstract

The invention relates to a waterproof camera body, for a photo camera, in particular for a single-use or digital camera comprising an external objective lens, a viewing lens, a trigger button and, possibly a film winding knob or control buttons. The inventive camera body also comprises a rigid shell consisting of two half-shells which are provided with waterproof assembling means, at least one optically transparent area for the objective and viewing lenses and the first actuating elements of the trigger button. Said camera body is characterised in that it is embodied in a multipurpose form for receiving any photo camera selected from a group of n differently-shaped photo cameras of the same single-use or digital type and d) the rigid shell (8) is sized in such a way that it confines thereinside any of n cameras of the group, e) at least one transparent area (22, 23) is sized in such a way that it is disposed in front of the objective and/or viewing lens of any of n cameras of the group, f) the first actuating elements make it possible to use the trigger button actuator and possibly the control buttons of any of n cameras of the group and g) possibly, with regard to single-use cameras, second actuating elements enable a user to actuate the winding knob (25) of any of n cameras of the group.
