Description

A SYSTEM FOR ATMOSPHERIC DEPURATION INSTALLED ON MOBILE DEVICES
The present invention concerns a system for atmospheric depuration that may be applied onto means in motion like vehicles, trailer trucks, trains, trains and other, exploiting the relative motion of the atmosphere with respect to the mobile.
It is well known that the traffic is considered - especially in the metropolis' - the first reason of atmospheric pollution due to the production of the carbon dioxide from the combustion of fossil petrol, due to the dusts and to the unburnt and sulphurous products emitted. The present invention derives from the brilliant and original consideration that vehicles and similar have, in the traffic, a motion relative with respect to the atmosphere and therefore they might provide themselves to filtering and depurating the air from all polluting components.
As a consequence of above mentioned operative discovery, the present invention mainly consists in a depurating system inserted inside or above or wherever desired of any means mobile with respect to the atmosphere, said atmosphere being led by suitable air intakes, and comprises means for filtering and collecting dusts of any kind, means for absorbing the sulphurous components, and means for destmcting bacteric components, so as to lead completely depurated and breathable air to the outlet openings.
The advantage of the system according to the present invention is evident
The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which some embodiments are shown.
Figures 1 and 2 show a scheme and a transparency view, respectively in a lateral and top view, a system for the atmospheric depuration as installed onto a mobile means, like a vehicle.
Figure 3 shows a lateral scheme of an atmospheric depurator complete with all depuration means, operating in series.
Figures 4, 5 and 6 show some single structural variants for filtering and collecting dusts.
The enclosed figures show a system for air depuration that may be mounted onto means in motion, like vehicles, trailer trucks, trains, trains and other, exploiting the relative motion with respect to the mobile element, consisting of a shell 1 that communicates through pipes 2, 3 with special openings 4 and 5, realized on the front bumper PA and back bumper PO of a vehicle V, or in other places, for leading the air flows deteπnined by the motion and allowing the expulsion of said air once it has been depured.
According to the present invention, inside said shell 1 the following components are placed, in series:
- a module 6 provided with filtering panels 7, for leading the air introduced into the device towards the following modules, through an aspiration system 8 provided with centrifugal fans 9, operated by the battery B of said vehicle V; - a module 10 for the filtering of the air led towards the inside, containing a plurality of membrane filters 11, consisting of stripes 12 of glass wool, or equivalent materials applied to the supporting frames 14 - opportunely distanced by separators 13;
- an active carbon filter 15 for destmcting the sulphurous components;
- a module 16 for the collection of the dusts escaped foπn the filtering action of said other means, provided with sections 17 containing granules 18 of special resins for destmcting dusts;
- a sterilizing UVA rays lamp 19, operated by the battery B of said vehicle V, for an antibcteric action.
The access to above mentioned components, for mending or cleaning interventions, is allowed through special panels on the outer shell. For what concerns the working of the system, the movement of said vehicle V detennines the leading of the air inside the same, through openings 3 on the front bmnper PA and pipings 2 connected thereto where the first purification process takes place due to the filtering action of said panels 7 of the aspirator module 6, such as to allow the elimination of great dimension atmospheric dust.
Through the aspirators 8 inside above mentioned module 6, the air is led towards the following depuration process, due to the action of the membrane filters 11 of said filtering module 10 for keeping small and medium dimension dusts, and then subject to the destruction of die sulphurous components by means of said active carbon filters 15.
Then, the air reaches module 16 for the collection of the residual dusts, and inside said module the air undergoes the last depuration process, caused by the absorption action of special resin granules 18 which, in special sections 17, seem to be able to eliminate also the smallest dust particles.
The air depurated in this way is further hygienized passing through a UVA beams lamp 19, and then led inside the piping 3 for being expulsed to the outside through said openings 5 on the back bumper PO of said vehicle V. It appears evident how said single modules 6, 10 and 16 may be simplified variants to said system, for the installation onto small dimensions vehicles, like motorbikes and similar.
