Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de collecter, de transmettre, de stocker, de traiter, de distribuer et d'utiliser des données concernant la position d'un objet mobile sur la surface de la Terre. Ce procédé consiste plus précisément à mesurer la latitude, la longitude et l'altitude pour la position réelle d'un objet mobile, les données obtenues étant transmises périodiquement avec des informations supplémentaires à une station de base centrale et stockées de manière permanente dans un serveur. Ces données stockées sont ainsi disponibles pour des positions antérieures et réelles de l'objet mobile et peuvent être utilisées par diverses applications informatiques pour dériver des informations concernant les mouvements de l'objet.
