Abstract

The object of the present invention is a method and apparatus for improving the causticizing process where, in order to adjust the temperature of the green liquor prior to mixing of lime to the green liquor, the temperature of the weak liquor used to dilute the green liquor is adjusted in a heat exchanger (22) before the weak liquor is fed to the green liquor.
