Description

Description CONTACT CLICK TYPE MOUSE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a contact click type mouse in which a typical mouse click method can be used and an accurate positional data input function of a cursor can be performed by clicking the mouse without applying a pressure to a finger of a user when necessary, and a method of controlling the same. Background Art
[2] In general, there is an optical mouse which can prevent shakiness of the mouse when a button is clicked. However, since the optical mouse needs to be clicked by a pressure of a finger, like a typical ball mouse, it has the same problem as the ball mouse.
[3] For example, Korean Utility IVfodel Application No. 20-2003-0015940 discloses a wired or wireless ball or optical mouse for a computer supporting both sides to prevent a wrist pain, in which a part including a left press button, a right press button, a wheel button, a micro-switch for the left press button, a micro-switch for the right press button, and a switch for the wheel button is separated from a part including a track ball for a ball mouse or an optical sensor part for an optical mouse to prevent a pain in the wrist. A left support pin and a right support pin are attached in an upper part of an outer case of the mouse. The micro-switch for the left press button, the micro-switch for the right press button, and the switch for a wheel button are installed on an electronic circuit board. A left support and a right support are attached to a lower part of the outer case. A conductive wire for connecting the upper and lower parts passes through the inside of the right support.
[4] However, since in the above mouse a button needs to be clicked to carry out a work as in other existing mice, the conventional problem cannot be solved.
[5] Also, there is a mouse click method which, although seems to be similar thereto, has the opposite function to the conventional mouse. Here, a click function is completed by contacting a finger a click part of a mouse to perform a click and taking off the finger. When a click work is not performed, it is inconvenience that the finger needs to be placed on a part except for the click part of the mouse or lifted from the click part.
[6] Furthermore, since the mouse is necessarily shaken, although it is minutely, when the finger is taken off from the click button and then contacts it again, it is difficult to maintain an accurate position of a cursor when clicking. Also, in sich a click method, since a function to select the conventional mouse click method is not provided, the click function is performed only by the contact of the finger. Thus, a user accustomed to the conventional click method feels inconvenience until one is accustomed to the new method.
[7] When the existing general mouse is to be clicked, the click button of the mouse such as a ball mouse, an optical mouse, or a pen mouse, needs to be pressed by a finger. When a pressure is applied, the mouse is slightly shaken so that the cursor on a computer screen is moved from a desired position and the position of the mouse needs to be corrected. The problem is result from the click method which requires pressing the click button of the mouse by using a finger to click the mouse. Although such a problem is solved by an invention disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No. 0297595 filed by the subject applicant, since a drag function is omitted in the invention, there is a demand for an improved invention to solve the problem. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[8] To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a contact click type mouse which can perform an accurate positional data input function of a cursor by clicking without applying a pressure to a user's finger and use a typical mouse click method, and a method of controlling the same. Technical Solution
[9] To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a contact click type mouse including a conventional mouse circuit part and a conventional mouse click part, the contact click type mouse comprising a mouse added part comprising an added circuit part, a finger contact part, and a selector switch part.
[10] The finger contact part comprises an optical sensor and a light emitting diode.
[11] According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of controlling a contact click type mouse including a conventional mouse circuit part, a conventional mouse click part, and a mouse added part having an added circuit part, a finger contact part, and a selector switch, wherein, when the selector switch is positioned at a position N, a click button of the mouse is used to connect the conventional mouse circuit part through the conventional mouse click part so that the mouse is used in a conventional mouse operation method, when the selector switch is positioned at a position F, a finger is placed on the finger contact part on the click button of the mouse and the mouse is moved so that a cursor is located at a desired position and a signal is input to a circuit of the added circuit part by taking off the finger from the position to click, and a signal is input to a circuit of the conventional mouse circuit part so that a click is performed.
[12] When the selector switch is positioned at the position F, in order to perform a drag, a chip is replaced by a chip for drag and a user's finger contacts the finger contact part on the click button at a position to start a drag, the finger is taken off from the finger contact part and the mouse is moved to a position to finish the drag so as to move the cursor to the position, and a drag is completed by simply contacting the finger contact part using the finger for a click. Advantageous Effects
[13] As described above, the conventional mouse needs to press a click button on the mouse using a finger and then take off the finger to click the mouse. That is, for click, a slight pressure must be applied to the mouse and then taken off therefrom. Accordingly, the mouse may be deviated from a desired initially set position so that the position of a cursor is moved. As a result, vector data input to a computer may be different from one the user wishes. To remove the above drawbacks and enhance user convenience, a mouse according to the present invention includes a touch click part which does not apply a load of a finger by changing a method to perform a mouse click function, so that the click function is performed when the finger is taken off from the click part. Also, since the mouse according to the present invention can perform a conventional ball mouse function according to the selection of a user considering the accuracy or experience of work, which can greatly enhance use thereof. FIG. 6 is a view illustrating a chip for drag according to the present invention.
[21] The present invention concerns a mouse having an improved click function of the mouse which is widely used as one of input devices for computers. As described above, the conventional mouse needs to press a click button on the mouse using a finger and then take off the finger to click the mouse. That is, for clicking, a slight pressure must be applied to the mouse and then taken off therefrom. Accordingly, the mouse may be deviated from a desired initially set position so that the position of a cursor is moved. As a result, vector data (positional data of the cursor on a screen) input to a computer may be different from one the user wishes. To remove the above drawbacks and enhance user convenience, a mouse according to the present invention includes a touch click part which does not apply a load of a finger by changing a method to perform a mouse click function, so that the click function is performed when the finger is taken off from the click part. The mouse according to the present invention includes a mouse adding part 10 having an added circuit part 11, a finger contact part 12, and a selector switch part 13, in addition to a conventional mouse circuit part 100 and a conventional mouse click part 200. The finger contact part 12 includes an optical sensor 121 and a light emitting diode 122.
[22] Since the present invention is made by adding or incorporating a function of clicking by a finger contact/release with respect to a typical mouse, a conventional mouse function exists basically. The present invention includes a selector switch 30 operated by the thumb so that a user can select a conventional function. The selector switch 30 is disposed at a part where the thumb naturally contacts the mouse when a user places a hand on the mouse. When the position of the selector switch 30 is selected by using the thumb, a function of connecting either the conventional mouse circuit part 100 or the added circuit part 11 of the present invention is performed.
[23] When the selector switch 30 is positioned at a position N, a click button 20 of the mouse is connected to the conventional mouse circuit part 100 through the conventional mouse click part 200 so that the use can use the mouse in the conventional mouse operating method. Thus, the click function is performed by pressing the click button 20 using a finger. In this case, since the finger contact part 12 and the click button 20 are integrally formed, the click function is performed by clicking any of the finger contact part 12 and the click button 20. This method is used when an accurate positional data of the cursor is not necessarily required.
[24] When the selector switch 30 is positioned at a position F, since the click button 20 of the mouse is connected to the conventional mouse circuit part 100 through the finger contact part 12 and the added circuit part 11, the click function of the mouse is performed when the finger is taken off from the finger contact part 12. That is, the cursor is placed at a desired position by moving the mouse in a state in which a finger is positioned on the finger contact portonl2 on the click button 20 of the mouse. Then, by simply taking off the finger from the present position, a click is performed. The principle of the above operation is as follows. When the finger is placed on the finger contact part 12, since the circuit thereof is in a grounded state, no input signal is input to the circuit of the added circuit part 11. When the finger is taken off from the finger contact part 12, a signal is input to the circuit of the added circuit part 11 so that an input signal is input to an input circuit of the conventional mouse circuit part 100 for a predetermine time. That is, the signal is automatically cut off after a predetermined time without contacting the finger contact part 12 again. The reason to constitute the circuitry as above is to prevent shakiness of the mouse generated when the finger contacts the finger contact part 12 again, by generating an input signal like a click, that is, the same signal as a signal generated when the finger applies a pressure to the click button 20 and the pressure is removed. The prevention of shakiness of the mouse is possible because the signal input to the mouse according to the input signal of the circuit of the added circuit 11 is the same as shown in FIG. 4. As shown in FIG. 4, when the finger contacts the finger contact part 12 again, since no signal is input to the mouse circuit, preparation for the next click is possible. To perform a double click, the finger is continuously taken off two times.
[25] FIG. 5 shows a signal generated when the mouse according to the present invention is dragged. Referring to FIG. 5, an input signal is a signal input from the finger contact part 12 and an output signal is a signal at a chip 40 for drag.
[26] When the selector switch 30 is positioned at the position F, in order to perform a drag, a chip is replaced by the chip 40 for drag and a user's finger contacts the finger contact part 12 on the click button 20 at a position to start a drag. Next, the finger is taken off from the finger contact part 12 and the mouse is moved to a position to finish the drag so as to move the cursor to the position. A drag is completed by simply contacting the finger contact part 12 using the finger for a click.
[27] As show in FIG. 2 which showing the structure of the major parts of the present invention as a preferred embodiment regarding the click part, the above described function can be performed when the optical sensor 121 and the light emitting diode 122 are used.
[28] While this invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims. Industrial Applicability
[29] As described above, the present invention can be used in the field in which all contact click type mice including a ball mouse, an optical mouse, or a pen mouse are manufactured.
