Abstract

The invention relates to a method for separating foreign admixtures from a product flow, whereby the product flow (K) comprising admixtures is first charged in a loosened manner and in a single layer onto a first moving belt conveyor (B1) while mounting a second belt conveyor (B2) downstream of the first belt conveyor (B1) at the discharge end (B18), the direction of travel of the second belt conveyor (B2) being defined substantially perpendicular to the direction of travel of the first belt conveyor (B1). The speed of travel of the second belt conveyor (B2) is greater than the speed of travel of the first belt conveyor (B1) and the width of the first belt conveyor (B1) is smaller than the width of the second belt conveyor (B2). Furthermore, at least the second belt conveyor (B2) is dampened. The invention also relates to a device for separating foreign admixtures from a product flow (K).
