  • the DAB transmission system includes audio sources 101, audio encoders 102, an ensemble multiplexer 103, and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) encoder 104. Since the conventional DAB transmission system is applied to digitalize an analog audio broadcasting, the conventional DAB transmission system is established mainly with focus of an audio broadcasting. In detail, the audio sources 101 are encoded' in the audio encoders 102 and are then transmitted through the OFDM encoder 104 by being multiplexed in the ensemble multiplexer 103. Although there is partially provided a low speed transmission of digital data, it is difficult to provide a multimedia service including real time moving pictures through the use of the conventional DAB transmission system.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de conversion de flux multimédia et un procédé permettant d'obtenir un service multimédia dans un système de transmission par radiodiffusion numérique (DAB). Dans un premier temps, le flux de données multimédia fondé sur un système MPEG-2 est analysé de manière à transmettre des données multimédia selon la norme MPEG-2. Ensuite, au moyen des informations analysées, le flux de données multimédia est reconstitué sous forme de trames d'interface de transport d'ensembles (ETI) répondant à la norme de transport de trames ETI. Les trames ETI sont ensuite converties en un flux de données de radiodiffusion numérique (DAB), ce qui permet d'obtenir un service multimédia dans un système de transmission par radiodiffusion numérique (DAB).
