Abstract
The invention relates to a device which is used to examine the eye and, in particular, the retina of a patient. The inventive device is of the type that consists of: a mini-camera (7) comprising means for fixing to the eyepiece (1) of an optical viewing device (3), and electronic signal-processing means. The invention is characterised in that: (i) the fixing means comprise a tubular element (9) having one end which receives the lens (5) of the camera (7) and another end which receives the eyepiece (1) of the instrument; (ii) the device comprises at least three mobile longitudinal elements (23) which can move radially under the action of a single control member (17) and which are disposed between the eyepiece (1) and the tubular element (17), such as to press against the eyepiece (1) in the fixed position; and (iii) the aforementioned mobile elements (23) are provided with synchronisation means which ensure that said three elements move in an identical radial manner.
