Abstract

The invention relates to a bacterial microorganism containing a foreign nucleic acid sequence that codes for an active substance. A natural nucleic acid sequence of the bacterium, which codes for expression of a bacterial enzyme is deleted or mutated in the chromosomal DNA microorganism provided that a translation product obtained therefrom is not functional. The invention also relates to cells that are infected with such microorganisms, methods for producing such organisms, and the use thereof, especially for producing pharmaceutical compositions.
