Abstract

The present invention provides methods and kits useful for evaluating, profiling, screening and managing an animal or animal population for susceptibility to a condition or disease. Additionally, the present invention extends to methods for modulating the treatment of a population of animals, monitoring the efficacy of treatment protocols for such disease and inhibiting the spread of a disease in a population. The methods according to the invention are particularly useful for the cattle industry to determine susceptibility to Bovine Respiratory Disease ('BRD') among cattle and to enable dividing a cattle population into risk groups for differential treatment and assessment.
