Abstract

Ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Bestimmung von Bewegungsparametern einer leitenden, vorzugsweise profilierten Oberfläche (22) relativ zu einem Sensor (3), wobei der Sensor (3) mindestens eine Spule zur Erzeugung eines elektromag­netischen Wechselfeldes umfasst, welches aufgrund der Rückwirkung in Folge von Positionsänderungen zwischen der Oberfläche (22) und dem Sensor (3) einer Ver­änderung unterliegt, die mittels der Spule (16) erfasst wird, ist derart ausgestaltet, dass die Positionsänderung aus der Kopplungsimpedanz (Zc) der Spule (16) abge­leitet wird und der Realteil (Rc) und der Imaginärteil (Xc) der komplexen Kopplungs­impedanz (Zc) der Spule (16) ermittelt werden, wobei der Abstand d zwischen Sen­sor (3) und Oberfläche (22) auf Grundlage der ermittelten Werte unter Zugrundele­gung eines Algorithmus berechnet wird.
