Abstract

A button-type fastener for a garment has an easily changeable appearance. The fastener is a button head (52) connected with a post (54) and base (58) for securing through a grommet (60) in an article of clothing. The button head (52) and base (58) are separable from each other for changing the button head to one with a different appearance. In an alternate embodiment, button head covers are provided for changing the appearance of the button head.
