Abstract

The invention relates to a switchgear cabinet comprising an electrical unit or module, particularly a converter or similar control device for an electromotive individual drive. This electrical unit or module is operated inside the switchgear cabinet and is installed in an elongated, i.e. longish, approximately parallelepiped-shaped housing. The unit or module is arranged inside the motor-switchgear in such a manner that their respectively longest lateral edges are horizontal and/or parallel to the bottom side or top side of the switchgear cabinet. The invention also relates to a switchroom equipped with switchgear cabinets of the aforementioned type, whereby at least one row of switchgear cabinets is arranged along a service passage that is wider than the length of a unit or module that can be extended out of the switchgear cabinet.
